Anyone else get the proactive refund or credit?
It's a nice touch, but my account will stay with renewal off until the maps are actually reliably working again... |

How did you happen to get a credit? Where did it appear? Did they respond to a request?

Were they working before ? For me Lufthansa seat maps in economy stopped working many years ago.

They worked seamlessly before. YE & Y seat map was always blocked ~12 hours before Online check-in starts.
The only seatmaps on Lufthansa Group which work for me now are shorthaul Business and longhaul First (with a wrong seat layout). Everything else on LHG still seems broken. I got the "we're working on it" reply from EF last Tuesday, promising updates on the progress, as well as next steps about my subscription. No news since then, so I've cancelled my auto-renewal. |
Poor form that I have to read through this thread to find out about the credit vs being proactively offered one.

I'm keeping my subscription active and not requesting a credit. The main functions are still working perfectly well. |

Why on earth would a company proactively offer a credit when 90%+ of the website is working fine? Does an airline proactively offer compensation even under those obtuse EU/EK261 obligations?
I'm keeping my subscription active and not requesting a credit. The main functions are still working perfectly well. When AA is my main airline it is more impactful. EF has lost a lot a capabilities over the last 5 years. Once AA award availability is gone, I'm gone. |
Seatmaps are broken again, at least for DL... I haven't tried any others yet.
The site doesn't return an error, but it displays the seats as occupied/unavailable in all cabins so effectively it is useless. |
AY seat maps appear to be back.
|
UA and HA seat maps appear to be back. UA flights within 48 hours now seem to be accurate but still showing seats that don't exist in some rows as taken. On HA international business class, blocked seats appear as taken vs. blocked. (An improvement over earlier when they appeared as available.)

Seat maps is one of the most important features for me. When It broke I cancelled and they refunded.
I sent them specifics. It took a few weeks, but a human contacted me asking for follow up information. I now see they’ve fixed AF seat maps. After a fashion, very good service. I re-subscribed, monthly. |
Expertflyer - BA Award & Upgrade Availability & Alerts
Hi all, reading the forum, I know this has been an issue historically, but does anyone know please why the Award & Upgrade availability feature remains down on ExpertFlyer?
I have SeatSpy Founding First subscription but would like an alert for availability on a specific BA short haul flight next summer. TIA Chris |
That has been long gone unfortunately and Expertflyer seems in maintenance mode at best so I don't think it'll be back.
It is frustrating that Seatspy haven't added this functionality as it'd be very useful on frequent routes |
There's a forum for help / discussing issues on EF - might be some info here ExpertFlyer.com Help Desk Thread - Page 169 - FlyerTalk Forums

is the Expert Flyer Seat Alerts app now dead on Android? If you try and do a search it just searches indefinitely with no result. I thought about maybe deleting and re-installing the app, but when I searched in the Play Store for it, there was no sign and on the Expert Flyer website it only references being available on the App Store.
