Still no surveys on my UK account. It's been over a week now. It looks like I have been effectively banned.
|
I've been a member of e rewards for well over 10 years now. All of the sudden, almost everything is "out of stock". I wrote to them, and was told to try something new and that they are working with their sponsors to renew them.
OK... like what new should I try? Magazines? That's about all there is left! I can get a better deal on magazines from the kids that go door to door! My Hilton points still haven't accrued (or been posted) on Hilton, and I redeemed those 9 months ago. Now, on the site, it says something about "posting delay". I guess delay! Are they closing up shop, finally? Or, am I about to be booted? I have to add that I have answered all questions honestly all of the time I've been a member. I just didn't see the advantage of being dishonest and being booted. Agh. This isn't fair. I have so many points, and nothing sounds interesting. Usually if something is out of stock, they are in stock in a couple days. Not this time! I'm thankful to find this thread to see what others are experiencing. I also want to note that I had seen a vast improvement in their customer service over the last year. It sounds to me from reading this thread, I am the only one who saw it that way! LOL. Vast improvement in customer service, but a more strict environment in which to redeem. Like, you can only redeem things once a quarter, etc. Any comments of late are appreciated! I haven't posted here in a long time. I used to be a fairly frequent flyer, here! :) |
Hilton points
Redeemed 8/24, posted 9/11---2.5 weeks.
|
Yep. That’s delayed alright!
|
Data point: Redeemed IHG points on Sept 14 and credited on Sept 17. Pretty decent cause that included the weekend.

Just had an email titled
'Change is coming... Get Ready Something big is coming. More details to follow soon…' |

Just logged in to my account and my balance has increased by about 30,000 points. Looking at the account statement there are 3 manual credits for today - 2 for 15k each and 1 for 333 points. I usually redeem for Iberia Avios or Hilton. Both have restrictions that only allow redemptions every 1 or 2 months, so I can't easily empty the account and ditch it if they try to correct what must be a mistake. Unless I've won some prize draw - do they even run prize draws?

No e-mail here even though I’m getting and using survey links regularly. Maybe they’re opening up more redemption options for those locked into a single hotel or transportation partner?

I just hope I start getting some surveys again soon.

No change is coming email for me, either. This is just speculation, but based on the posts here and the locations they're coming from, it seems like that email was sent to non-US accounts.

I've usually have had good success with e-rewards over the years, but lately its getting ridiculous with how many surveys blackball and filter you out much later in the process,
I'm thinking of changing my e-rewards strategy to always select "yes someone in my household works in marketting" to be quickly filtered out for 0.25cent partial rewards. This would mean, filling out 400 surveys (at approx 10 seconds each) will equal to $100 e-rewards (valued at say $20 USD). 1 hour approx of survey clicking for mostly guaranteed $20 USD value seems like a fair deal to me but I'm afraid of being kicked out of e-rewards if all I'm doing is getting partial rewards. Has anyone tried this strategy and did they get kicked out of e-rewards for just geting partial credit? |

They do check profile information against what is in your original profile and if you consistently say something different than that profile, after a few weeks, you'll be directed to change your profile (presumably to match what you're now saying) when you go to the site.

I would be VERY surprised if this were really the case

Changes coming...
Got an email from E-Rewards:
——— Get Ready Something big is coming. More details to follow soon… ——— ... I’m a little nervous about this. I really hope we don’t see a devaluation in the redemption schedule. |

Another email
Another email about the “New e-Rewards”.
|
Basically a new logo and a load of hot air, then.

Sounds like they're making it look more like the parent company's standalone survey sites like Opinion Miles Club, Opinion Rewards Club, etc. Which have had badges/levels for a while but the levels don't really seem to do much.
|
From their e-mail "start surveys in a few taps". Does this mean they'll reduce the number of screening questions before you get to an actual survey? I normally have to click or tap more than a few times

I have not seen the "coming soon e-mail", and I have not had any issues redeeming recently. I do Southwest, United, AA and Choice Hotels for my rewards.
|
For UK based accounts it seems that the 2000 Avios redemption is back - but only when the account was originally opened via BA. Those opened via avios.com still max out at 1000 Avios
|
Another email: 'The future is nearly here'
Just more of the same. They're certainly bigging it up. I really hope there's no devaluation involved. |
I've not received any of these emails, only surveys--and a lot of them.
|
Just got this:
Get Ready Something big is coming. More details to follow soon… I can not wait :) |
By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes ;) as I just received the "something big is coming" email

I get about two invitations a day, but when I click through all I get are requests for information -- lots of them -- that NEVER result in an actual survey -- not even the 25 cents DQ credit. |

I tried to redeem for IHG points yesterday. It said I couldn't because i had already redeemed within the redemption period. The thing is, there are no redemption periods for IHG.
I wrote to customer service and got I "don't know, we'll investigate" response. So I figured I'd check here to see if anyone has ever had that experience and if there was a resolution. |
