I wrote to customer service and got I "don't know, we'll investigate" response. So I figured I'd check here to see if anyone has ever had that experience and if there was a resolution. I simply redeemed for something else, didn't bother contacting customer service because i figured they put a limit in the backend but didn't bother updating the website yet. |

Thing is I haven't redeemed within the last month and am still unable to do so now. |
Are Hilton rewards posting promptly now or is there still a big delay?
|
I've seen this happened before, and it resolved itself after some wait... I too am unable to redeem to IHG now

After doing several surveys, I logged into my account and discovered a $56 bonus reward. No idea why. Anyone else get a bonus?
On second thought, maybe it's related to a survey I took. But I get so many I can't keep track of them. |
I received something new (for me), an email about a "Premium Survey." According to the email:
What are Premium Surveys? Your profile tells us you have a unique perspective. It could be your occupation, your education, or even your lifestyle. Premium surveys are exclusive studies, limited to members with a distinctive view of the world. Members like you. |
Alaska air gone

They've usually been pretty good about giving a few week's warning when they were losing a redemption partner, so I guess it was just a technical glitch.
|
What is a premium survey? I received an email stating I had a premium survey (only was for $1.75) and received an email for a premium survey a few days ago. What's so premium about these surveys?

Avios "Out of Stock"
Afternoon all,
My e-Rewards Reward Centre is showing Avios as "Out of Stock", and offers no other options for redeeming my opinion points. Is this something that happens regularly, and they always come back in the end? Or have I just wasted hours of my life completing surveys that I'll never get Avios for? Thanks in advance for any reassurance or reality checks! Filbert |
Welcome to FlyerTalk, mrfilbert!
If you use the search this thread feature, you'll find many posts regarding Avios. Many of them are very old - I found 11 pages of them - so I'd recommend going to the last page and working your way back. This link should take you there: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/sear...11&query=Avios I have never redeemed for Avios but I know from reading this thread that many others have had various issues with them. |
I see out of stock too. But this almost never happened before with Avios, I just made a redemption 1 week ago and been doing it regularly for years...Hope they fix it soon.
On another account the Multiplus points have been out of stock for probably a year or more though... |
While past performance is never a guaranteed predictor of future actions, e-rewards has typically given at least a month's notice of the loss of a major redemption partner and when your original partner has been permanently eliminated, other redemption offers have been substituted.
|
BA Avios is also "out of stock" - given that it is the ONLY redemption partner, it doesn't bode well.
As a side note - one account shows 3500 points -> 1000 Avios as max, another account shows 6500 -> 2000 Avios as max. E-rewards is getting more and more of a scam, so I just try to cash out all points and begone. |
Looks like avios are back in stock, but the maximum quantity available is now 1000 avios instead of 2000...
|
Invites Are Going Out - Travelzoo
Yay. Hubby received an invite link today. It was at the bottom of a Travelzoo email. He often just deletes the emails without reading them but this one was a specific offer of a golf card.
Email is targeted I believe as I didn't get it & I'm a Travelzoo member too. Didn't purchase but signed up via link for erewards & completed a survey. No bonus but he sees Alaska, United & Hilton amongst a few others for his future redemptions. |

and worse, I cannot even connect to e-rewards (over VPN) - neither can awardwallet... I have 4k Avios worth of points now unreachable. Is it the much heralded "new" e-rewards? Total scam, stay away!
(and Hilton redemption from 20/Oct still not posting) |
My account and wife's account (both UK registered) now have the new site. I haven't looked around thoroughly, but the points balances look right and all redemption options are still there with the values unchanged. These were the 2 aspects I was most concerned about. I haven't tried to redeem so can't say if this is working. I clicked on one survey only to be told I didn't qualify for it, despite answering no questions, so it looks like the dodgy targetting remains, just with a slightly prettier site sitting behind it!
|
Just done a redemption, but now you can only redeem for 1000 Avios at a time for 3500 points,so now 2000 Avios will cost 7000 points whereas before you could redeem 6500 points for 2000 Avios, effectively a 500 point increase needed
|
Possible theory on the new redemption levels on the BA version - is it possible the amount increases to the old 6500/2000 avios after 30 days? It would certainly be vexing if there was a 1000 avios a month limit.
|
Still on the old site and USA-based- United redemption today was instant like it usually is but BA and Iberia remain Out of Stock. Here's hoping BA comes back for me by the 25th when I'm set to redeem for Avios again

I think they have shot themselves in the foot.
I will now be doing less surveys, as once I get to the 3500 points mark(1000) avios I will stop doing surveys, as there is no incentive to do more than that a month.Previously, I would do enough surveys to redeem(on average) 6500 per month.I am currently sitting on enough points that under the new system will take me three months to redeem. So there is no reason for me to do any surveys until the new year. |
I just see no redeem options available, instead of the only BAEC.
From the data point collected here, I believe the updates are probably happening in small batches. My turn was yesterday apparently. I only hope they will allow me again to redeem soon. |
I see the new interface since yesterday. It reads "you are ready to redeem" - hurray, click on the link - "no redemption available" (Avios only account)
What do you make of the many different levels of membership? I found it rather pathetic/ridiculous |
Interesting quirk with my Avios only account. It seems to allow me to redeem again and the 30 days since the previous redemption have not passed. But it asks me to confirm my phone number, and it has changed... I cannot find how to correct it in my account. Just wondering if I wait the full 30 days would it still ask for it? It has asked just once, long ago
|
After the phone verification, you can redeem 3500 points for 1000 avios on the BA only accounts (despite it being less than 30 days since the previous redemption on the old site). You can actually select multiples of 3500 point redemptions, but any more than 1 tells you you have exceeded the number allowed, similarly any attempt to repeat gives the same result.
Like others, I seem to have lost the option of 6500 for 2000 avios, so I'm going do be doing far fewer surveys. I got the standard email about some options not being available, but this smells to me of policy rather than teething troubles. |
What are they playing at reducing the maximum number of avios per month
e rewards are mean and screw you quite frequently with surveys crashing and very long surveys that bail you half way through I just about hang in there earning 2000 avios a month This latest bid to reduce rewards per month makes the scheme hardly worth it I do wonder how much profit e rewards makes as the rewards are so poor. EDIT I see the old avios reward of 2000 avios per month has been returned |
