Thanks for giving the heads up on the mobile surveys. I seem to be getting two of them per 24 hour period, which is adding up faster than the e-mail ones ever did.

One note- my mobile app has fewer redemption options than the web site does. Noticed that BA is missing on my phone but still there on my laptop web browser.

progapanda Jun 16, 2015 7:04 pm

I've recently had $25 level rewards post within 24 hours to AAdvantage and AS Mileage Plan.

Color me impressed!

I find tons of surveys via desktop - but it's interesting to hear there are more via mobile. May have to download the app. Thanks :)

I was actually going to dump E-rewards, but the pace has picked up quite a bit. I've accumulated about $75 in the last 6-8 weeks. And I'm still using the website. Imagine if I downloaded the app.

This is a first for me -- the firewall at work blocked a survey site that e-Rewards redirected me to because of "pornography." I am not sure of the exact subject matter because I had just gotten redirected there after answering screening questions at a different URL. But from the screening questions, I am sure there was nothing of a NSFW nature. Here is the first part of the URL that got blocked. Note that the letters "s e x" are part of the domain name. I am sure that that is why the blocking occurred.

URL: https://surveys.qsext.com/Projects/...

I've never had that happen with e-Rewards, but I have with a different survey site. When it's happened it's been blocked by my ISP, not by any "parental controls" on my browser (which I don't have on, anyway). I don't think my ISP would block something based on the URL, but I'm certainly going to look next time! Also, they don't block anything on the basis that it's porn, but that there are phishing attempts and whatnot involved...

Interestingly, since I started using the app, the emails with surveys have stopped completely... Not sure if it is meant to be this way, or just a coincidence...
I found out I prefer the email surveys, as using the app results in obsessively trying to find more surveys whenever I have some spare time, which is not good...

Mary2e Jun 18, 2015 7:49 am

I still get emails. I also use the app, but some of the surveys just don't show up correctly, or the print is too small, to make it convenient to use.

beachmouse Jun 18, 2015 8:04 am

I use my iPad for the mobile surveys when possible, and that generally works better than using my phone does for reasons mentioned above.

bj2757 Jun 18, 2015 12:46 pm

It seems like, for me at least, E-Rewards is going back to it's old habits.

I just received a survey about entertainment. It asked about # of trips we take each year, where you would like to go etc - then asked all the normal demographic questions.

Then it drilled down to specific beach locations in Texas, what you like about them, how many times you have visited and on and on - which has the best this and that.

All the while the completion indicator at the bottom is moving - and after a lot of questions it finally hits 100% then tells me they have enough people in my demographic group and shuts me down.....

I sent a message to E-Rewards but if it's like the last 3 I sent them all it will do is take up room in my hold folder.

Mary2e Jun 18, 2015 1:22 pm

I got something similar about employment and the type of work I do, HR policies, etc.

When I answered a bunch of questions, and I mean like 10 minutes worth, it gave me the message that they've filled up for my demographic.

Very, very irritating. It's obvious the survey designers didn't want to pay out and got the information they needed anyway :(

progapanda Jun 21, 2015 3:02 pm

Write to e-Rewards Customer Service. This has happened to me a few times and they've generally credited the originally promised $ amount anyway.

This has really become an issue for me lately and I've stopped responding to the longer surveys because of it - I find they're more likely to disqualify me after I've already answered a lot of questions.

This used to work but the last couple of times I contacted them, I got no response and no credit. :td:

I recently received a survey from them about my thoughts on the e-Rewards program and I expressed my dissatisfaction with the poor customer service and increased number of surveys that ask for a substantial amount of information before disqualifying. Expecting someone to spend ten minutes on a survey and then paying .25 is not acceptable.

If you haven't tried lately, I would suggest you try one more time. My only experience with this was relatively recent and I was successful in getting the full amount credited to my account.

For quite awhile I'd get no responses, then a few months ago they were very quick in responding and crediting. Now I have three pending for the last month and no responses other than the auto-response.

Does anyone know if reward redemptions are limited to once every "x" days? Are some 30 and others more? I looked at IHG terms and don't see any verbiage re redemption caps at all. Am I missing it?

Mary2e Jul 6, 2015 8:31 am

some are, some are not. It would be in the terms.

For example, if you check Hertz, you're limited to one redemption a calendar quarter.

beachmouse Jul 6, 2015 11:16 am

IHG seems to be pretty unlimited. I've cashed in 3 x $100 in January the past few years for that without a problem.

neuromancer Jul 10, 2015 4:14 pm

IHG and Accor are unlimited. Hertz is once per quarter. Most of the others are once per 30 days.

PCMflyer Jul 10, 2015 4:53 pm

I use the E-rewards for Hilton. They are once every 90 days. I can also confirm IHG is unlimited and they count toward IHG status. I just made IHG Spire in part do to E-Rewards.

Wow ! Don't forget to collect your 25k bonus points!

beachmouse Jul 11, 2015 7:00 am

I so hope IHG leaves their e-Rewards partnership as it is because if you enjoy surveys, it really is a pretty easy way to give yourself an elite status bump while on the comfort of your couch.

Yeah, but I have no plans of going to the Holiday Inn Express and say "Hey, I'm "Spire Elite"! I demand an extra pancake from that auto-upgrade machine" for B-fast. @:-)

The fun part would be the 100% bonus points that will get you faster to a few nights at a far more interesting place than a HIX.

Wanderlustbella12 Jul 13, 2015 1:48 pm

I seem to have stopped being sent survey's completely which is annoying as I was close to cashing in my points!

If you have an iPhone or iPad download the app. Plenty there for you for sure!

I've found that if I log into the e-Rewards website, there is usually a survey or two that I can take listed on the logged-in home page underneath Opportunities.

The Mrs and I have both been getting several recently - wish I qualified for half of them... But it seems, at least for us, looking back at our redemption history we always end up redeeming at the same time - so if we're way ahead of schedule like I was this cycle (I had $60 right after I redeemed) the surveys slowed to a trickle - now as the normal date is coming closer the surveys are coming in.

I collected a1000 IHG bonus promo from the rewards centre a month ago but don't see any points posted.??????
Edit: I think it was a promo bonus for enrolling into erewards IIRC

zimstyles Jul 24, 2015 7:37 am

Hello all. How do you get an IHG e-rewards invite. I have avios e rewards but no IHG. I have no way to transfer either. Any tips would be appreciated. Short a few points for nice long points break stay.

beachmouse Jul 24, 2015 7:54 am

IHG usually posts within a week for me, but I've had a redemption from 6/18 that still hasn't posted.

Thanks!

Don't count on them posting same day/ within hours. I've been redeeming erewards for IHG for years and never had them post same day.

Strangest pre-survey questionnaire I've ever seen :D

http://i.imgur.com/zXrxO6m.png

beachmouse Jul 31, 2015 7:23 pm

Global Test Market survey- what they want is a yes for the one obvious answer ("Have you eaten in a restaurant in the past 12 months?"). You can have two 'yes' answers for their surveys but anything more than that tends to get you to bounced at that point- they don't care if you own a crab pot (anther one of their common screening questions); they're trying to get rid of the people who say 'yes' to all the questions whether they are true or not in the name of qualifying for the survey.
