You're absolutely right about this and the surveys you land on from the old email aren't on the site. Also if you wait a bit after you been declined for a survey after the initial screening questions, often another screener will show up and you'll be a match for that survey.

There's no obvious "best choice" for rewards redemption, is there?
(unless you're like, VERY close to the next elite-tier on IHG or so) I just redeem for AS miles every once in a while, might as well do something with my spare time and slowly collect free flights |
An error occurred. It appears you are accessing this survey from a location that is different from the country for which this survey is intended. Please try again later.
Seems server error~~~ |
If you travel within their footprint, Le Club Accor points can be useful and are apparently still posting as unlimited redemption and elite-qualifying.

It's worth trying both the app AND via desktop. The old emails routine is still working for me.

Has anyone found recently that when you open a new E-Rewards window for the start of a survey, and click the start button, the details suddenly change to a new survey and you have to click start again? The page doesn't reload - the text changes instantly. Strange.

new line pops up at the top saying I didn't qualify for the original - here's another. |

This has come in handy several times when survey credit either didn't post correctly or not at all. |

You could well argue they should have used that stuff to know not to offer you that survey in the first place, but it's still better to be DQ'd after just one click then to go through and fill out a demographic questionnaire. And it is just one click. FTF |

They submit profile information you filled out when you joined as a first pass.
Rewards For Thoughts do allow you to change your survey preferences, which is great if you think certain topics are more suitable for you now. |

If you're regularly in their hotel footprint, Le Club Accor can be pretty useful. Not too hard to get a 40 euro voucher for them and, like IHG, they're been posting as elite-qualifying points.

I have always redeemed my e-rewards for IHG points but I am now considering redeeming for Macy's e-cards. I'm going to redeem for 1 and if they are easy to use and no hassle, I may make that switch permanent.
Most airlines: 34c BA: 48c Most hotels (IHG, Hilton, Club Carlson): 25c Accor: 36c However, if you use miles for premium cabin awards and hotel points when the points value is good, it's easy to get double that benefit. Against that, Macy's return of 36c/$ is quite poor. (Even at dollar for dollar, I'd not consider e-rewards fantastic value, unless you are getting status out of it, or you are using it to prevent an account expiring. If shopping vouchers were the only option, I'd give up e-rewards completely.) |
I'd earnt enough points for an Avios reward on Saturday so I put an order in.
This morning the Avios were added to my account at 9:30am. That's an E-Rewards record! |

I came to a similar analysis. Check out the PDF attached.
I've actually been moving to Choice recently. They changed their expiration policy to just keeping it active and point never just go away. Our strategy is to limit expenses and Choice actually has some good options when you need to stay somewhere for a night or two at 8000 to 12000 points. IHG generally doesn't offer that level of redemption unless you are lucky and get Points Break.

Assuming airline miles are worth 1.7c and hotel points are at their average value on Hotel Hustle, you get roughly the following return per e-rewards dollar:

Anyone not getting survey points after emailing to complain about surveys that crash near the end?

I have never had a problem with getting credit for surveys that I did not initially receive credit for.
I send them the survey topic, date & time I completed it and how much the amount was to complete the survey. The few times this has happened, e-rewards responded promptly and credited my account. |

I don't know if this is a trend but I have either been clicking on old links in emails or logging into the e-rewards site daily since Jan 1 and there has always been a survey to take that I am getting credit for.
I don't ever remember having this many survey competitions so close together. It usually takes me a 3-4 months to get enough to redeem $100 and I already have that just since January 1. Maybe they have a lot of new clients. |

Has anyone been lucky to be able to do e-rewards surveys outside of their home country? I get a message that I am outside of my country when I attempt a survey even when I use a VPN. I travel outside the country often and stay away for long periods of time so if anyone knows a workaround let me know.

My wife signed up last week and recently got this bonus offer. Not a bad deal.
|
I'm brand new to erewards. I just signed up last week and already completed a few surveys and have $19 in my account. In addition to that, there is a promotion for a bonus based on how many surveys you complete in Feb. If this keeps up I will qualify for the 100% bonus.
But that's not why I posted. I tried to do a search on here but it's down. I just went in and checked out the reward center. Under southwest I had an offer of 500 rapid reward miles for $0. I have no idea if this is a newbie thing or what but thought I'd post. Easy 500 rr for the few moments it took to fill out the redemption form. |
If you signed up through Southwest, that is your bonus after completing 1 survey.

There aren't really any offers like that for existing members so enjoy it while you can! |

Rewards from "found more survey" not posted
Have anyone experienced this -
when you went to a questionnaire which located a survey for you, You successfully completed the survey and got the satisfactory evaluation screen. You finished that, submitted the evaluation. Usually the earning would post to your account within a minute or 2. However I have found there are quite a few occasions that the earnings never post. Or the posted amount is way less than the final survey. Just had one that started with $7.00 but only posted $2.50 from the "leading survey" which I was not qualified. Then it led to a second survey which I finished with the satisfactory evaluation screen yet only got $2.50 versus the $7.00 on the offer page. I vaguely remember that in the past some folks mentioned about the earnings from this multiple steps "chain" have often lost in the cyber space. Some said not to do this kind of survey anymore. Can you share your experiences? It would be a nuisance to make screen shot of each survey then screen shot of a successful completion. After a few miss postings, I guess that is the thing to do despite the inconvenience and annoyance. |
Opinions on best value for redemption?
For $100 e-rewards dollars, which is the better deal?
1,000 Virgin Elevate Points 7,000 Hilton Honors Points 2,000 Alaska Airlines Miles 2,000 American Airlines Miles I rarely fly the other airlines available, but maybe Southwest (also 2,000 miles) Thoughts? I like to go to Maui, which the 3 airlines above all go to, and there's the Grand Wailea there (Hilton). Also looking at Puerto Rico next year.... |
E-rewards [Master Thread]
None of them will get you anywhere. It depends on what your balances are like
|
Whichever you choose, be sure to focus most of your other earning efforts with that program.
