It usually updates on awardwallet within ten minutes. Sometimes the e-rewards website takes a day or two

Is the balance not updated in real time and only the next day to include your successful survey's earning?
After a few successful surveys did not post (those were led from initial non-successful survey then eventually one fully completed but miles not posted), I started to make screen shots of high value surveys and the completion screens, and checked the account activities after completion. Today I notice that the account balance does not change even though the successful survey did post. (an improvement from a couple weeks ago). I never pay attention to this so not sure if this is always the case. So I need to check tomorrow to make sure the balance is updated. |
I think I've experienced this too. Basically, it looks like there is a middle-tier award option that isn't listed on the screen. So, more than 25 or 50 cents, but not the full $10, for example. I'm trying to confirm this with E-rewards.
These types of experiences to make me question if the surveys are really worth it to actually get points. Keeping an account active, OK, but significant points, I'm just not so sure anymore. American Express is offering 70K Hhonors points for $1,000 spend right now. It just seems way easier to do sign up bonuses and get points through normal spend. You would need $12,500 E-rewards $s to equal that. How much time would that be? I do like e-rewards in that the surveys are mostly easy to do, the app works well when it can find a survey, they offer partial credit, you mostly qualify or don't qualify pretty early on, once in a blue moon you get a very high $ amount for a more complicated survey/journal, and they've been around a while. However, to put it in perspective, I did a survey for Marriott and received a $20 Amazon gift card for about 15 minutes. I did one for IHG and received 1,000 points for 10 minutes. The compensation with E-rewards is way less. What is the actual compensation for us to do these surveys? That could be an interesting spreadsheet. It does make me wonder if the companies paying for the surveys just aren't really paying a reasonable amount to get high quality results, or is E-rewards just making loads of money. I'm inclined to think it is the first. There are quite a number of places managing surveys. I guess most companies aren't willing to pay for the higher quality results with a more reasonable compensation. Honestly, I do wonder how many people really give significant thought to these surveys. Someone posted earlier about it being a race to the bottom (low compensation = lower quality inputs from survey takers). Thoughts?

Have anyone experienced this -
when you went to a questionnaire which located a survey for you, You successfully completed the survey and got the satisfactory evaluation screen. You finished that, submitted the evaluation. Usually the earning would post to your account within a minute or 2. However I have found there are quite a few occasions that the earnings never post. Or the posted amount is way less than the final survey. Just had one that started with $7.00 but only posted $2.50 from the "leading survey" which I was not qualified. Then it led to a second survey which I finished with the satisfactory evaluation screen yet only got $2.50 versus the $7.00 on the offer page. I vaguely remember that in the past some folks mentioned about the earnings from this multiple steps "chain" have often lost in the cyber space. Some said not to do this kind of survey anymore. Can you share your experiences? It would be a nuisance to make screen shot of each survey then screen shot of a successful completion. After a few miss postings, I guess that is the thing to do despite the inconvenience and annoyance. |

It always varies in posting time. Ideally it is within a few minutes.. Sometimes a day or so

There is a few 1000 point surveys being credited at 400 pts at the moment.

Is it true on e-rewards that you can only redeem once in a certain time period?
|
For some awards that's true, but for others it's not. tls

Can you do two e-rewards account redemptions to the same HH account getting round the 90 day rule?
|
I suspect the frequency of surveys being offered is based on how many surveys they get commissioned to work on and I'd be amazed if they didn't have rules on how many surveys you can take over a certain period. I've been a member for several years and, believe me, there are far more opportunities nowadays than any other time I've been a member. In the past I've gone a full week without a single opportunity. The "Find A Survey" button is also relatively new. There was also a long time when clicking on old survey links brought nothing if you'd taken that one linked opportunity. You could only start finding additional surveys when they introduced surveymyopinion links. Before everything came from e-rewards.com and every link was one survey only. These are the good times!!!

Accor and IHG are both unlimited redemptions.

Also, the survey values offered are for a much higher value than before. |

Accor and IHG redemptions are awful value against HH redemptions.
The generally accepted valuation around Flyertalk is 1 HH=$0.004, 1 IHG=$0.007, 1 Accor =$0.022. For a non-American member, HH is indeed good value among hotels: - 8,000 e-rewards = 7,000 HH, or ~$3.5/1k e-rewards - 10,000 e-rewards = 4,000 IHG, or ~$2.8/1k e-rewards - 6,000 e-rewards = 1,000 Accor, or $3.67/1k e-rewards, but not redeemable on rates discounted >~25% On e-rewards.com, cases can be made for each: - $125 e-rewards = 7,000 HH, or ~$22.4/$100 e-rewards - $100 e-rewards = 7,000 HH, or ~$28/$100 e-rewards, for HH referred and DL-grandfathered accounts - $100 e-rewards = 4,000 IHG, or ~$28/$100 e-rewards - $60 e-rewards = 1,000 Accor, or $36.7/$100 e-rewards, although not redeemable on rates discounted >~25% Note that Accor was a more attractive proposal when it joined the program a few years ago and the euro was stronger, as their internal valuation remains 2k Accor = 40 euros; the exchange rate used by their non-eurozone hotels is nowadays updated much more frequently and fairly close to reality, whereas in the past there were some opportunities to be had in countries with rapidly devaluating currencies... As it is easy to get more value out of a HH point (points & money mostly), possible out of IHG (pointsbreaks!), and impossible out of Accor (fixed ratio), I consider the values for those 3 major chains fairly comparable on e-rewards.com, as it should be, factoring in the respective restrictions and advantages. Club Carlson redemptions are obviously terrible value, not having been adjusted post-devaluation; CC to me is showing all the signs of a rudderless program on its way out, no wonder the chain is up for sale. |
Since I can't do the credit card status route (blah, blah, identity fraud case) I find the IHG points more valuable because they post as elite-qualifying. Made Platinum last year via surveys there and on sibling site e-miles.
Accor also apparently posts as elite-qualifying, so part of the question is whether redeeming with a given chain will let you 'level up' and get the extra bonus points on paid stays from that higher elite status. If it's looking like you'd finish at 60K points in a year for IHG, silly not to use e-Rewards for the last 15K to get to Spire for the 100% bonus multiplier. |
Has anyone redeemed points to BA Avios in the last two weeks? It has been nine days since I done a redemption from my account and the points in my BAEC account have still not arrived. My last redemption took 7 days?

Thanks for your quick reply, can you update us when they hit your account so I can estimate what date mine should be in.
The official rule is 35 days but it's never taken that long. |
What's the longest time frame you have had to wait for a redemption to BAEC in the past?

I find Rewards For Thoughts to be the quickest supplier of avios (24 hours except at weekends). I aim for 100 avios a day (two surveys). *edit* Nothing new in my BAEC account this morning. Two weeks on. Frustrating. |
I only use iberia miles on one account as I get a better redemption rate than ba or avios for survey points.

E-rewards seems to be back to their old tricks of asking for a substantial amount of information before screening out - it seemed to be getting better but I had two surveys today that disqualified me after I'd answered numerous questions (the one I just got was 68% completed when I got the Unfortunately, this study has received the number of responses required from your particular survey group message).
One more and I think I'm done with them; it's just not acceptable for them to accrue so much data only to not pay off. |
I had one of those surveys last week, usually once your so far into a survey you know your not going to be screened out but I was well over 50% in and I got the same message.

I've never used E-Rewards for Iberia. From previous experience, they take too long to upload avios from promotions.

Edit: response back saying to call the CS line on the matter. |

"Unfortunately, I am unable to chase eRewards until the 35 days have passed from the date of your transaction. If these Avios are sill missing then, please let me know and I will investigate your case. I am sorry that I could not be more immediately helpful."
 |
