I started an account when I had another at a differerent e-mail address; my mailing address was also different but in the same city. For a short time I still got surveys at the first address, but then they dried up.

Here's my 2 cents. (Nothing personal toward the following inquiry)

Has anyone received any problems by having multiple accounts? It indicates one per.

You are asking rule-breakers to 'fess up, right?

As we know it, per e-Rewards TOS, not multiple accounts per individual.

If someone did run into problems (account closure, termination...etc) while holding multiple accounts, he may not post here and admit his (wrong)doing in a public online forum.

If he hadn't run into problems, I don't know why this person would come here then expose himself at this point. OTOH, I did recall a FTer or two had openly declared their multiple e-Rewards accounts and stated not being caught (yet) in different threads.

It's similar in the selling miles scenario. Savvy FTers know selling miles is not allowed by FFPs. Once in a while, we see folks, some newbies, ask about selling miles. There are 2-3 "hot" threads in MilesBuzz! since Dec'08. Dig them up if you want to read those responses.

Occasionally, we see folks in airline fora asking what to do because they got caught and account frozen. I've read maybe 7-8 threads over the years from AA, CO, Delta & UA Forum. Those folks asked for input because they were losing significant amount of miles due to their violation of airline TOS.

For me, I read e-Rewards' terms and play by the rules. I would advice you the same, if you don't want to get caught or lose your currency.

I got an email invite to a survey and can't get into it. What's up?

My time limit is about to run out and I was going to settle for the 2500 HH points for my $50 ($70 in the account). Then today I received and completed a $7 survey :-) I took the 4500 HH points and they were in my account within minutes. Last year I did 3 different HH redemptions but this year the surveys have been limited. I've received enough points for a couple of nights at the lower end HH places the last year - so it's worth it to me.

Be careful, E-Rewards are posting very quickly now, within a few days. I redeemed $30 to Priority Club and $25 to US Airways thnking it would take 4-6 weeks to post, both redemptions were there in 2-3 days. Now I have to try to scrounge another $25 for US Airways.

Be careful, and don't redeem your eRewards to PC=>US and directly to US too soon--if they post to US before the promotion begins on 9/1 they won't count.

Anyone know how they are handling the Oct 01 merge of NW and DL miles accounts? I have my e-rewards on NW will they switch you over to DL automatically?

JeffISU Aug 31, 2009 1:28 pm

I've emailed twice on this to see if they could change my NW account over to DL and both said no, cannot change your sponsor. Reminded that NW will be no longer and still no go. I just cashed out my NW rewards, closed my account, and signed up new with another sponsor (I received a Priority Club invite). With PC I can redeem for any airline but only PC Hotels (no Hilton).

Did half the survey - did not qualify

I got a offer to do a survey for $5.00. It said it would take 20 minutes. I spent about 10 minutes answering a bunch of questions about car insurance, home insurance, and leisure travel. I figured after that many questions, I had qualified. Then I got the screen that said I didn't qualify.

I don't usually get mad about stuff like this, but that is a total rip off. They got most of the information they wanted and then didn't give me credit. I really want to complain. Does anyone have an email address or phone number to contact?

I don't think phone support is available. You can contact them either via the online form, i.e. sign in then member support/services menu; or forward the survey invite to either [email protected] or [email protected], explaining what had happened.

I can accept long screening process/questions but I consider being cheated when they collect enough data from me then kick me out. When it happens to me, I always shoot a complaint email to e-Rewards. I found e-Reward member services had been reasonable when I provided a clear timestamp, the time I spent & questions answered to request full credit. I always get manual adjustment of full credit after 1 or two email follow-up.

Good luck!

350 free Priority Club points from e-rewards?

One of my readers told me that he was offered 350 Priority Club points for free from E-Rewards. He said that the offer was on the Rewards page of E-Rewards. He said that he enrolled in the E-Rewards program via a Priority Club invitation.

I had enrolled via Delta Airlines and cannot find this offer on my pages. What is your experience?

neuromancer Sep 11, 2009 10:47 am

They usually send the invitations by email, or the partner publishes it on the website. I've seen the Priority Club invitation (the link) here on FT, but it had already expired.

350 PC points is the enrollment bonus after you complete your first e-reward survey after enrolling through an PC e-rewards invitation.

Average time for e-rewards to BA miles to post.

I redeemed some points from my account for BA miles and the miles posted in just about a week. My wife also redeemed some points for BA Miles, and it has still not posted, and it's been 2 weeks. I know it gives a 2-4 weeks estimate. Looking to close the account. Should I contact e-rewards or just wait 4 weeks?

I would contact e-rewards. I periodically redeem in several programs (HiltonHonors, Delta, etc.) and they normally post in a matter of days - not weeks.

neuromancer Sep 18, 2009 10:32 am

BA miles post monthly if I remember correctly (around 1st-3rd). Hilton is instant, BMI post on mondays, so they are all different. I'd wait the time they say, and if the miles don't post then contact them.

Wish they sent more :-0

I got the following email from e-Rewards. Same message appears on my e-Rewards "home page." Have you taken a look there?

IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT YOUR REWARD CHOICES

During October, the Northwest Airlines WorldPerks® program will officially merge with the Delta SkyMiles® program into one frequent flyer program – Delta SkyMiles. To learn more about the merger, please click here.

Although WorldPerks® and E-Certs will no longer be available as a Reward choice, we are excited to inform you that you will be able to redeem for Delta SkyMiles® effective October 1, 2009. Please continue to check your e-Rewards home page for updates regarding this program merger.

To redeem your unused e-Rewards Currency for Northwest Airlines Rewards, please click the button below to visit your Rewards Center:

Also, be aware that the terms for redeeming e-Rewards points on Delta are a bit different than what was possible when redeeming for NW miles. NW's offer let you redeem once every quarter. Delta will only let you redeem once every 180 days.

Given that, you might want to refrain from submitting for smaller mileage amounts (500, 1000) and save up to redeem at the maximum mileage level (2000) as otherwise you'll be locking yourself out of 50% of the miles you can throw at your Delta account via e-Rewards redemptions evey year.

Best,
TMichaels

relativelynormal Oct 9, 2009 11:10 pm

I have the option of choosing the Alaska Airlines 2,000 miles for $100. They let you redeem per quarter( how long is that 4 months?). Wouldn't that be a better option?

Calendar Year and Magazine Question

My membership year ends on September 30th and my rewards have to be redeemed by October 31. Last year, a few days before Halloween, I redeemed part of my account balance for $15 in Borders Bucks as well as on a magazine subscription. Do I have to wait again this year a few days before Halloween to redeem my account balance for another $15 in Borders Bucks or can I do it anytime after Sept 30 (i.e. right now) ?

Can I also redeem some of my account balance for the same magazine as I ordered last year and if so, will it extend my 1 year subscription which is about to expire? Thanks for any info.

I got an email saying I was a "preferred" member and told me they would extend my deadline for a year.

I also got half way through a survey today and they told me sorry, they already had enough answers. I almost understand the issue about answering some questions and not qualifying, but I don't understand this business of already having enough replies. They had to know that when I first started. So they got a bunch of information they wanted and then gave me no credit. UGH!!

mccheese Nov 21, 2009 7:48 am

Finally got a survey

It's been over a year...had pretty much given up on them, and then all the sudden I get a $2.00 survey for electronics. Guess it proves they don't just delete you from the system.

Same here - no surveys for close to a year - got 3 in the last week.

fwiw, after i redeemed $100 on nov, 10, i've had 6 surveys show up (with 3 over the past 3 days)

4Health Nov 22, 2009 1:00 pm

They definitely don't delete you from the system. It seems like they always come in spurts for me. I'll have a ton of surverys for a few months, then nothing at all for several months.

PatMike Nov 22, 2009 1:09 pm

It might me worth a try to update your personal information. There are probably a few changes that might trigger your account to get back on their survey rotation.

CMK10 Nov 23, 2009 1:23 pm

I realized how long it had been since I'd used E-rewards so I logged on today and updated all my personal information. Hopefully now that I no longer have "Some High School" selected as my education level (I joined in 2002 :D) I'll start seeing surveys again.

dreamwks Dec 19, 2009 2:00 pm

Bombarded with surveys.

After giving up on E-Rewards, I get at least one survey a day for the past two months, and have been able to complete 4-5 surveys. ^ This is good!! Anyone else with a similar experience?

I have been bombarded lately also, but every single time it tells me I'm not qualified, of course after 10 minutes of answering questions. It's starting to drive me crazy that they disqualify me after I've provided so much information.

Whenever this happens to me, I complain to them. They always tell me they will inform the company doing the survey, and they always credit me with something appropriate - often full credit for the survey.

This outfit really does have surprisingly good customer service.

craz Dec 21, 2009 8:10 am

the main problem now is not not getting them but if you dont Qualify all they seem to be giving is .25-.50 . Yrs ago you got a few bucks and sometimes it paid not to qualify since the difference wasnt that much between them.

Heres to hoping I can somehow get it up to the $100 level

Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. I had to badger them several times (over the course of several weeks) to get the full $35 in e-rewards currency from a "live" online survey sometime back. Really annoying. But at least I got the full amount, eventually. (This was a case where I actually DID complete the full, hour-long live survey -- not a partial credit situation.)
