The Account statement still says "Expiring on 01-May-2011: xxx"
|
E-rewards has extended the expiry date twice for me. Maybe they do this for everyone who is active enough.

If the expiration date is being extended, the date on your account won't change until May 1. Then it resets to the following year. In the past, my wife and I have each received an email about 30 days before expiration on our respective accounts telling us that the expiration date has been extended.

Not true with my acct. It used to say "$160 will expire May, 1st" (paraphrasing) and now it says nothing. This happened about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Nada. Maybe it will never expire. :) No email notice either.

On my e-rewards home page, there is the following link under the Tablet Giveaway: "Currency Expiration: Thank You For Your Participation." When I click on it, it says my points are good for another year :). I never got an email about it.
If you're not sure whether your points are expiring, I suggest checking your home page. It's not worth assuming something and losing your points. |

It looks like you can now redeem US,CO and DL miles once every 30 days. The previous limit was once every 180 days. No more redeeming surplus rewards for hotel points.

OTOH, my account, which unfortunately they tied to my e-miles account for Delta redemptions years ago, still limits my e-miles>SkyMiles redemptions to one per 90 days. |

I got an email from e-rewards advising about this. A very welcome change. |
WSJ Question
Last April, I redeemed some e-Rewards dollars for a 26 week Wall Street Journal subscription. Then in November, when I wanted to start another subscription, I noticed that the WSJ wasn't available. Instead, I redeemed some airline miles for another 26 week subscription. How often does the WSJ become available for redemption in e-Rewards? I want to juggle using e-Rewards dollars and airline miles for my WSJ subscriptions.
For my last April-October subscription with e-Rewards, I called customer service and gave my email address to create an online account in order to manage my subscription from home (stop delivery, resume etc). I did not do this with my airline miles account. If I redeem again with e-Rewards, will the WSJ have my email address/online account from last year already saved and ready to go? If not, will it raise any red flags if I call and give them the same email info as last year? I ask because on e-Rewards, it mentions for new subscribers only, but then it also mentions only one redemption per 12 month period, so that's contradictory. How do you all coordinate WSJ redemptions and accounts from multiple sources? |

I had this happen several weeks ago. It was a particularly vicious virus that defeated my Webroot anti-virus software and basically locked up my computer. My hotmail account and e-rewards survey were the only windows I had open so I'm pretty sure it came via e-rewards. I won't ever open another e-rewards survey again.
This just happened to me tonight. Received an invitation for an education survey for $2.50. Three pages into being asked questions about whether I'm planning to pursue an MBA, my computer is crippled with a fake Windows Total Security 2011 virus. E-rewards was the only window I had open. I've already contacted them about it, but wanted to post a heads up in case anyone else receives that particular survey. |

On my PC as well.
Perhaps they pulled the first survey, cleaned it up, then sent the second invitation? I'm still waiting to hear back from them. |
Decided to risk the education survey after all, worked just fine.

I have a friend who wants to spend his Erewards $$, but has really limited options (compared to mine). I presume from reading here that it depends on who you sign up your account with, but I also read that by crossing a balance threshold more options open up.
Is there any way to open more options for my friend? |

You can't do anything about it

i believe you are stuck with the same options you had from the beginning unless that particular invite expands into more redemption choices. Having said that I don't believe it has anything to do with a threshold.

+1 here. I've been doing e-rewards for years, have gotten up as high as $200 before redeeming, and none of my redemption options have ever been expanded.

Your e-Rewards Bonus (for inactivity)
After not having time to click on any survey links for the past month and a half, I just received a $3.00 credit with "no strings attached". Actually, there were strings - I had to complete a very short internal survey about why I'd been inactive.

One of my accounts sits at $465 right now. Same options there as were there last year when I had under $25. Nothing changes, except sometimes they add and subtract partners as contracts expire or re-up. Been with E-rewards since 2001.

Just curious, how come you're holding $465 instead of depositing at least $100 of it, since 100 is the max deposit?

E-Rewards
I'm just curious what people feel is the best value for $100 of e-rewards points. In the past, I've chosen Hilton. Yesterday i saw Priority Club up there but now it's gone. Also saw they just added Hertz. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yup, for me its Hilton. Once per quarter, like clockwork - a quick and easy 7000 HH. :)

Is anyone getting a lot of catalogs and junk mail in the mail as a result of using e-rewards? I did a consumer electronics survey once and I'm getting tons of electronics catalogs. Having more trash is not a huge deal, but I'm just concerned about privacy.
I'm starting to think it's too much trouble for not much return... Some surveys take as long as 40 minutes to complete, most 20 minutes. |
WN transfers are now available for those who didn't sign up with an airline sponsor: 500 pts for $25, 1000 pts for $50, 2000 pts for $100.

I am interested in getting 2 X $100 e-rewards currency for transfer to 2 of my household's HHonors accounts. I can offer AMEX membership reward points which can be transferred to many airlines/hotel points (it can be transferred to hhonors as well but the ratio is bad). If any of you guys are interested, I have a relevant thread in Coupon Connection(CC). If you don't have access to CC, please PM me directly. Thanks.

I've recently signed up with e-rewards and have had 5 invitations to do surveys, the last 11 minutes ago. Every one has said the opportunity has already expired (including the one 11 minutes ago) when I click on it. Is it always this way?

This is an ongoing problem, started when they tried to localize your IP for certain partners, it was fixed for a while, but it's happening again. It's an ok program when it works, and you get surveys frequently...Another issue you might encounter is surveys are cut short after spending 10-20mins on them and you only get partial credit. |
Posting time to Continental?
Any recent experience concerning posting of e-rewards to Continental? My transaction initiated nearly two week ago has not posted. Earlier reports in this forum indicated points posting over a Tuesday or within a week. If that is still the trend, some action may be needed on my part (to contact e-rewards).
