+ 1

I've been in (and still am in) France for the past month and all I've been getting are not available or already got the required number of responses messages (even though I've clicked on the survey as soon as I got the pop-up e-mail notification).

They must be doing something about it after all. Up until early this week, either my wife or I, we had been receiving (expired) surveys almost on a daily basis. For the last 3-4 days nothing. So I don't know whether they will be fixing it in the end, or they have simply given up on us...

Little known bonus e-rewards > Delta Airlines

Special offer: 25% bonus of miles when redeem your e-Rewards Currency for Delta Airlines Miles April 1 through June 30, 2010. This is not listed on e-rewards, but one of my readers confirms that it works.

thenewbie May 27, 2010 4:01 pm

The promo is mentioned on the Delta website (See: FT Milesbuzz! post)

Perhaps, but it is clearly advertised on the e-Rewards Internet web site.

I just saw it moments ago while I was logged in to my account.

Perhaps it is advertised for you, but apparently not for me. I am logged onto my e-Rewards account now, and there is no mention of a 25% bonus. I even tried going through the Delta link pgary provided, and it still doesn't show up.

What do you think the chances are I will get the 25% bonus if I go ahead and redeem for Skymiles?

I got an email from DL re: the 25% promotion, but there was no click thru or link, so I just transferred $50.00 e-rewards as usual. 1000 miles and the bonus 250 miles posted instantly.

jbelinc May 27, 2010 9:04 pm

I just transferred $50.00 and got the 1000 miles + the 250 bonus miles

Delta bonus posted immediately

Virus at E-Rewards???

I tried to access E-Rewards today, and got a warning of a virus infection. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had this happen several weeks ago. It was a particularly vicious virus that defeated my Webroot anti-virus software and basically locked up my computer. My hotmail account and e-rewards survey were the only windows I had open so I'm pretty sure it came via e-rewards. I won't ever open another e-rewards survey again.

i'll do you one better.....

no virus at all but when i clicked on the link in my e-mai, the survey opened asking me to sign in with my user i/d. my e-rewards user i/d would not work so i have no idea what they wanted. e-mailed e-rewards and am waiting to hear back

greenbears Jun 5, 2010 6:14 pm

is e-rewards still in business?

I redeemed my e-rewards dollars for a Macy's gift card more than a month ago. It never arrived. I contacted e-rewards via email directly or sent message via their website over the last couple of weeks. No response at all.

If anyone has ever redeemed for a gift card, how long did it take before the gift card arrived?

I got that one too but wouldn't enter my ID because it seemed very suspicious to me.

I was able to log in without a problem. I have noticed, however, that Erewards does not answer emails as promptly as in the past.

yes... the last time I contacted them, I received an email reply the next day...
the 5 emails I sent them in the last 10 days went unanswered... :(

ejh25 Jun 5, 2010 9:26 pm

My last 10 emails have gone unanswered. E-rewards cust. service is terrible. I'm only doing the surveys to get my account ready for the US Air Grand Slam in the fall (assuming that happens again this year).

alterman Jun 6, 2010 11:23 am

Here it works fine. I am still receiving frequent e-mails.

philemer Jun 6, 2010 11:46 am

WN RR?

Do some of you have WN (Southwest) RR as a reward option? I searched this forum and didn't find anything. I know we all have different options depending on who are sponsor was. Thanks.

neuromancer Jun 6, 2010 4:32 pm

WN is not a partner I think. I have all airline partners (joined through hotels) and don't have WN

e-Rewards is now US IP addresses only

Can't log in to my e-Rewards account while I am overseas. I am quiting e-Rewards for this; plus there hasn't been jumbo (ER$10+) surveys for a LONG long time. It's not worthwhile for me any longer.

Well, I must report that it's working again for IPs outside the US, but it's taken them almost 2 months to fix it! And a couple of days ago I received a survey that yielded $25 after 75 minutes, but I just didn't qualify for it.

Thanks for the good news. I was using remote US access to bypass the prob.

I may have spoken too early! It worked well during the weekend, but yesterday both my wife and I received invitations to surveys that had once again expired.

What makes you think this is IP address based? I'm often outside the US and I've once had a survey dump me out that I can tell was IP address based. (... because it worked when I bounced the access through a US proxy instead.)

That said, I reckon it's worth setting up a proxy on a home machine (e.g. a well-secured linux box) anyhow if you're outside the US a lot. There are tons of US sites (e.g. TV networks) which only allow access from US IP addresses.

Easy - using a non-US IP address resulets in all surveys expired. Using a US proxy, all surveys are normal. (same links)

philemer Jun 8, 2010 4:59 pm

Just completed my largest survey ever-$20! The shock was that the survey only took about 10-12 minutes. It was about advertising the USPS is considering for their rental PO Boxes. :)

Expired Survey

I was about to say the problem was fixed after completing two to three surveys earlier this week until I got a survey that expired 2 mins after opening it today, this is something they are obviously still working on.

Expired Survey & Member Services Response Time

RE: Expired Survey
The last 3 or 4 survey invites I got were all expired using non-US IP address. That was about 2 months ago and I haven't got any new invite since.

RE: CSR Response

Reading the last dozen of posts, it seems some folks were having trouble contacting e-Rewards CSRs. I didn't have the need to contact e-Rewards CSR for quite a while but I had been getting proper responses and credits when writing them in the past.

Here's my most recent encounter with e-Rewards Member Services. I was "auditing" my account last week and realized I was short of a full-credit from Feb. So I sent an email (to both [email protected] & [email protected]) on Wednesday. Four days later, I heard back from the regular CSR ([email protected]) with full credit posted to my account. Not bad. :)

I would suggest writing them directly via email for those who didn't, or haven't, get any response in say a week. Good luck!

Hi all,

Would anyone have a good proxy to recommend while I'm outside the US? My surveys work fine from the US, but I hit the expired problem while outside the US.

Thanks,

GenevaFlyer

You must log remotely into a computer in the US. If you have access to one in the US, you must install remote software that will allow you that.

goalie Jun 27, 2010 9:12 am

major problems for me (as noted by others while traveling outside of the u.s.) trying to access my surveys while in cdg :(

There are a number of proxies in the US open to everyone, some free, some paid. Not necessarily any logging in required. Most seem to have performance/reliability issues, but they are easiest.

For reliability, installing a proxy on a home machine works better. (e.g. Squid on a linux box. Obviously, you need to protect it from others using it. One simple way is to only allow set IP addresses and to have a way to configure that remotely.)

E-Reward opinion points expiring

Hi Folks,

I had registered for E-rewards last year but never really checked this online account of mine nor paid a lot of interest..Recently got interested in this since my opinion points show 970 and I read in these forums that at 1000 we can redeem it for various kinds of awards..
Now, today I login to my account and see that most of my points ( about 800) are expiring on 1st Aug,2010 :(

Any idea how I can use them ..in the site, minimum points required is 2000 .. Total account balance is 970 points with 709 exiring on 1st aug,2010 :((

If this is not the right forum to post this, kindly redirect to appropriate forum..

thanks
Abhi

AsiaTraveler Jul 30, 2010 10:01 am

Your talk about points (and in the quantities listed) does not match up with my experience on e-Rewards, so I'm afraid I can't give any suggestions. (My account is listed in $s not points and redemptions start at $10.)

If you have available surveys (look when you log in) take them. This helps with two things- one, you might earn enough points to redeem. Two, you might can an invite to some special "panel" that allows you to keep all your points for the coming year.

Glass Bottom Boater Jul 30, 2010 10:37 am

Cross your fingers for a survey today or tomorrow. I don't believe there is any donate option, so it sounds like you might be out of luck. On the bright side, it probably didn't take much effort to get $8 in currency. :)

Sometimes they will extend the expiration date for you. If you e-mail their customer service and ask nicely, MAYBE they will do this. Or, maybe they can at least send you some more surveys.

Also, did you update your settings to increase the frequency of surveys?

Don't bother. I've learnt to use a proxy US IP website, which works generally for a large number of surveys that have come my way. But this isn't fool proof - sometimes doesn't work when the connection from e-Rewards to the actual site that hosts the survey is imperfect.

Once I've collected enough and redeemed for what I intend to can redeem, I'm closing my e-Rewards account for good.

The rationale of restricting e-Rewards to only US IP addresses, when some members actually joined at the invitation of UK based airlines (eg. BA, BD, VS) clearly knowing they reside in the UK, is baffling. Plus if you ask Customer Service the question, they'll never admit to this stupidity - months on, still claim they're "working on the issue".
