I've had some for $25 and $20, but nothing more than that. $47 was nice to see, until it turned out to be a scam. tls

Did you ever get credit?
OMG, this just happened to me, and I'm so angry I want to explode. I received a $47 survey today for 15 minutes (largest $ amount I've ever recevied). After I completed the survey, it said I was done, and that I should hit the "submit" button to get credit. Except that when I did so, it said that they'd already received the number of response from people like me, so I didn't get credit. And for the record, I read every question carefully and answered them honestly (and there were no control questions). Man, I am steaming. I contacted e-rewards to let them know what happened, and asked for a $47 credit. We shall see. tls |

Aside from the initial email acknowledging my inquiry and assigning a tracking # to it and saying that normally they get back within 5 business days, I haven't heard anything from e-rewards. I've sent a follow up email. I know that others in this thread have reported success in getting missing credit after inquring, but this is not a promising start. Still hoping. tls

Did anybody do the survey about Auto Insurance for $8.75 circa July 18--19? I did but got no credit. When I reported it, e-r asked me for the 6-digit survey code number! So if you look up all your credits on your account, it will be there on your online statement. Then please post it (or PM me) so I can continue with my claim.
|
I'm surprised to hear you're having trouble via e-rewards. I've always gotten proper credit and immediately. Sometimes I do answer what I feel is too many questions only to be disqualified, but never after a full survey.
|
Anyone else seen the number of emails from e-rewards drop dramatically? Like I've not seen one for three months or more. Weird.
|
True, Sperry! This is the first time in years that I've had trouble with e-r!
|
Surveys have slowed down - as has customer service. I have several disputes pending because surveys were completed and not credited. The only one they acted on in a few weeks was one for $2 - the larger ones they either didn't respond or they have been pending - I just sent a follow up on one that I received a reply on (rcpt) but no action since.

My problem reported in #1605 has resolved itself: The missing ER$ arrived this morning. All OK.
|
Oh, man, that's great. I guess I shouldn't give up hope then. I still haven't heard anything from them (other than the initial email) re the problem I reported in #1596 (on June 28). I followed up once, but it's been radio silence. Will probably follow up again shortly. tls

Telecommunications survey
Beware of the survey located at:
http://www.e-rewards.com/pro.do?FT=DPK7JT4VNJC4 According to the progress bar at the top of the survey, I completed more than 55% of the survey, and then received the screen message: "Thank you for your interest in this study. Unfortunately, your responses do not meet the criteria required to fully qualify and complete this study. Your e-Rewards account has been credited the partial credit amount." I submitted a complaint and request for full compensation, and also called their attention to the 100+ page discussion thread on this website regarding these deceptive practices dating back to 2004. |

Is it possible you answered a "control question" incorrectly? In my experience, that is often the reason for being bounced out (with no warning/notification) once you are well into a survey. p.s. This is NOT a 100+ page discussion concerning "deceptive practices". In fact, most of the time problems are reviewed and, IF WARRANTED (in eRewards opinion), resolved by appropriate credit being given. I'm not saying there aren't occasional problems and issues; as there certainly are. And, I'm not saying every issue gets resolved to the satisfaction of the person reporting it; as many aren't. But, eRewards makes the call; most of the time reasonably well. Also, eRewards doesn't create/run the surveys and they depend on us to report problems. Also, if your report of the issue shows the attitude you expressed above, I suspect yours may not be investigated/resolved at all. |

Ridiculous .... give eRewards a chance to review and resolve your issue.

I just redeemed for UA miles, and they posted the same day (maybe instantly, but can't confirm because I didn't check right away). This is a nice change (apparently UA is doing this with others as welll: e-miles and Mypoints). tls

Advanced Cookie anyone?
Got emails from eReward about more surveys if one would accept advance cookies.
Anybody has seen this? |
anyone else get a survey this morning about investing?
I am pretty pissed, I spend almost 15 minutes answering this long survey and even gave out specific dollar amounts and percentages I had invested in various products to get a response that they already had the needed number of participants necessary in my demographic. |
I've just now clicked on JimVan's link & gotten a message, 'Thank you. Your account has been credited.' And it shows a balance about $9 higher than reported by Flyingmama #1614.
BTW, was this the survey for $6.25 about cellphone service? I was halfway thru that one when my computer lost connection & it would not let me back in to finish. |

Anybody has seen this? Advanced cookies - are they the troublesome ones that most of us non-technophiles have a hard time deleting? FTF |

Am I the only one who is getting offers of very long surveys for almost no money? Got another one today - 25 minutes for $1.50. I sent e-rewards a message saying I was skipping it because my time is worth more than $1.50 for 25 minutes. They never really replied the first time this happened, so am curious if they will reply this time.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay in following up on the story. After my original email to e-rewards customer service, I received an immediate auto-generated email acknowledging receipt of my message. However, I have not received another communication from e-rewards regarding this issue since then. While this is an 'n of 1' anecdote, I encourage the e-rewards apologists in this thread to reconsider their positive opinions because this has not been my experience. Regarding my rationale for carrying such a high dollar amount, it's a combination of two factors. First, I was Silver Elite on Delta and Northwest before the merger. I decided to switch from Delta to American this calendar year because of a bad Delta customer service experience. Neither Delta nor American participate in e-rewards, so I max out my quarterly redemptions through Hertz and into American. Second, I design surveys, so I know how to answer them to pass the screens and have a high rate of survey completion. If anyone has more detailed information about the researchers who have investigated 'bait and reject' survey practices to collect data cheaply, please PM me with any details. I hope this information helps. |

E rewards ?
My e rewards surveys are always out of date even when I get emails and I open them straight away.
How can I sort this? |
You can't. e-rewards is a poor platform and this is just part of the way they operate.

I'm guessing it's because you are in Northern Ireland and you are accessing a USA only site.

Has anyone noticed a downward trend in e-rewards lately? I now have fours surveys in the last month where I haven't received the credit after fully completing and qualifying. This used to be happen every so often, but in the past month I haven't had a single full credit post except for the $0.25 "you didn't qualify" ones.
Also when this happened before an inquiry to customer service would get the issue resolved quickly. Now they respond to every single inquiry with a generic response copied and pasted from their FAQ that "it may take 7-10 days for credit to post" and "in some instances 10-20 days". I wrote to them in one of my inquiries that it has been 26 days since I took the survey, they still sent me the generic "wait 20 days before you check your account" email. Doesn't look they even read what I wrote. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues? |

I'm with you msc75. In the past I was able to get issues resolved fairly quickly - but like you I'm seeing more and more surveys not posting the credit and so far nothing but the canned responses to my disputes. I just sent one off this past weekend and in that one I also gave them their ref number for a previous case I opened two months ago and all I ever received was the confirmation email saying they got it. Three emails asking for status were never answered.

Wrote and got the note to wait 10-20 days. Like in 20 days they're going to add miles. They used to be good but they're now the same scam artists as other survey sites. I use some but have dropped off sharply, as a "use at own risk" situation. FTF |
It's happened twice to me in the last several months. They either don't reply, or send FAQs that don't address the problem, or send an answer that reflects either them not having read my email, or just not caring. It's infuriating. tls

Thanks for the responses. Definitely looks like a recent turn for the worse. I wonder if they changed management or outsourced their customer service. Too bad, this was a reliable source of points/miles for me and I actually somewhat enjoyed the surveys.

As for customer service, it has oscillated over the years. I'm guessing they go through cycles of reducing staffing to the point of uselessness to save money and then fix things when sufficient numbers of users stop taking surveys. |
I'm pretty much giving up on the disputes I have sent in over the last few months. I even opened a new dispute to cover the fact they hadn't ever responded to the others - and no response to that one after over a month.
