Has anyone tried redeeming miles to a family members (UA) account? I want to credit miles to my 3 year old daughters account which will stop her account expiring.

Change the eRewards name, address, etc to match her UA account then redeem eRewards for UA miles to her UA account (her UA account#) then after the miles post, change the eRewards name, address, etc back to whatever it was before |

I've done it many times. Here's how: Change the eRewards name, address, etc to match her UA account then redeem eRewards for UA miles to her UA account (her UA account#) then after the miles post, change the eRewards name, address, etc back to whatever it was before |
+1 BANG-ON! Jgx & Mauibaby. Or Englisha can open a Rewards Network account in the little girl's name & UA# with one of Daddy's or Mommy's credit cards, then eat at a member restaurant.

Not sure if this has been covered before but I was/am getting the "we're sorry the survey...has expired" message even if I attempt to access it seconds after receiving the emails. Has been happening for a few weeks so I contacted Customer Service for an explanation. Their reply asked if I was out of my home country. I am in Europe for the summer. Turns out they automatically disqualify you if you attempt to access a survey from outside your home country.
W T F? FT'ers never travel do they? I asked for some sort of compensation for my frustration but have not heard back. Yet I continue to receive survey 'opportunities'. Might just have to redeem my $200+ and call it quits with them otherwise. Have a look at Hotspot Shield. Works for me. At least the message now tells me that I'm in the wrong country, rather than that the offer has expired. |

Virtual Private Network used to solve this problem for me, but it doesn't on this trip. Does the Hotspot Shield still work?
At least the message now tells me that I'm in the wrong country, rather than that the offer has expired. Also, it is possible that they are setting a cookie to ensure that once you are flagged, they continue to automatically disallow you, even if your IP address switches to coming from the USA. (Opinionmilesclub appears to do this.) |
Some proxies don't work correctly, that is, if you check using findmyipinfo.com and whatismyip.com, they show different locations. So it's not clear what the survey will see.
Also the surveys hosted at surveymyopinion.com check the location differently than the others. Some surveys check the location inside the survey too, beyond the initial page. And, some browsers don't work correctly too, I've been rejected on Chrome, besides being physically in the country (really) and allowed if I use IE. |

I have tried whatismyip.com and various others (with those headers configured off in my proxy) and none of them detect that I am using a proxy at all. |
Recently (i.e. in the last 2-3 weeks), I've been getting a few what appear to be eRewards surveys in e-mail which, when I click on them, don't show my name/account at the top of of the eRewards page that comes up.
I've done a couple of those and didn't get any eRewards credit for doing them .... so I've stopped doing them. Has anyone else had this issue and/or know why it occurs? Thanks! Editted to add: ============================= 08-19-2013: neuromancer, thanks for the response .... I'll check it out with the next one I get .... |
If they are at http://www.surveymyopinion.com/, everything should be fine and I have got credit for them.

Unfortunately you can only cash in for the same type of award every 90 days.
I've been collecting about $125 per quarter this year so I cash in for two different awards (one hotel, one airline) every three months. |

Has anybody tried the new redemption option to Multiplus points (TAM Fidelidade)? I tried when they started a few months back, but have not received anything (of course).
And E-rewards customer service is non-existant. |
E-rewards [Master Thread]
Recently redeemed for the Instant Best Buy $10 gift cards- they really are instant
|
Redeemed for some Hilton points.
The points showed up instantly, but after a week, they are still not listed in my Hhonors account when I click on "all activity". In other words I got the points, but can't show from an online statement the date they posted. Has anyone else had a similar or different experience? |

Good news for those avios collectors:
British Airways is now an erewards partner at least in my account- I used to have to redeem to Iberia and then "combine my avios" from Iberia to Avios to BA. Now you can redeem directly to BA. 12 ereward dollars = 250 avios 20 ereward dollars = 500 avios 35 ereward dollars = 1000 avios Can redeem once per 30 days however now you can redeem to BA AND Iberia in the same month to double your avios redemptions... Yippee |
Though if you've still got the Iberia 3000 Avios for $100 option, it remains a better deal and should probably be first redemption pick.
|
United
I redeeed $100 for 2,000 United miles recently. It took exactly 1 week for the miles to post.
|
For anyone else getting the 25% quarterly bonus for 2013, mine just appeared in my account.

After the recent wave of devaluations, what is currently the best value to redeeming e-Rewards points?

Imo Hertz would be the best redemption. That is if you have use for rental cars.
I have an Executive tier membership with National Car Rental whereby I rent a medium-size car and get to pick any available vehicle on the lot. I got the National Executive tier through Milepoint premium membership. I am more looking for miles & points with airlines & hotels, any other suggestions for the best value? |
I think the Choice Privileges points are a good value. To redeem for one free night requires either 8k or 12k, points, and you get 4k points for $100 in e-rewards, so you can get a free night reasonably quickly. I know that some folks prefer more luxurious hotels than Choice, but I think they're fine, and sometimes there aren't better options anyway. tls

Kalboz, U can get a 25% bonus if U transfer your Choice to UA in Nov. (must register first at link on UA forum) or up to 20% to Aeroplan by Dec. 9.

Maybe not, but is the exchange rate to sWN much better? IDK, because I'm not familiar with their program.

Depending on your account balances, I would not tx to UA with the bonus unless you needed to top off your account for a redemption. Choice has not devalued (yet), and they do have nice redemption's in Europe and the Nassau Bahamas. Nice place to take your family on vacation, plus you get access to Atlantis. |
Any experiences NOT receiving reward?
I Redeemed a bunch for a $50 Starbucks card on 9/30 - the confirmation said could be 30 days. 11/1 I emailed customer service, got the auto response saying give us 5 days to respond... waited until 11/10, sent another email, no response...
Any others experience no rewards sent (this seems like an actual card, no e-delivery of a gift card) and/or customer service response times like this? I've been emailing their general CS email, any other contacts there? Need my coffee fix! :p |

Anyone done a transfer to Iberia and can advise how long it actually takes please?
|
Iberia avios used to post the next Tuesday after redemption, but the list time it did not work.
|
Did you chase via E Rewards and were you successful. I notice that they state 6-8 weeks but most redemptions have been handled pretty quickly.
|
Well, lately you cannot chase until the 8 weeks stated have passed, otherwise they just ignore you, so I haven't yet.
|
In the same time I have amassed 25,000 miles on Opinion Miles by United answering 3-5 surveys a day, I've just now gotten 500 AA miles on eRewards mostly from consolation points. Every single eRewards survey boots me out more than halfway through. When this happened at Opinion Miles, I reported it enough that it stopped after they determined some survey companies were trying to pump us for info before dropping us to avoid paying miles. From what I can tell this is ALL that eRewards does, and their Support is so abysmal they reply only with a general FAQ email ignoring your specific problem. Contrast this with Opinion Miles (the leading opinion broker in the field if you google them) which corrects any problem to my satisfaction overnight, or explains why not
