So to be honest, if you tell them in advance what you want and you are insistent about it, they will probably help you 9/10. If anyone asks, "it was cheaper" normally explains everything. :)

Thanks!! Hospital said 6-8 weeks for splint and crutches. When else does one arrive and depart within an hour or two on the same aircraft to the city of origin? This happens to me all the time on xONEx tix. For example, on this one, I'll have DOH-CDG-DOH, DFW-ANC-DFW, NRT-CGK-NRT, etc.
CGK will be very annoying, but that would be true with or without reduced mobility! Have you done the CGK turn before? How long do you have? It definitely requires a supervisor if you're unable to get your boarding pass prior to arrival in CGK (which I am 99% sure will be a problem, though I've not done the same plane turn, only a transit intl-intl) |

Note that those are base fares. There is a large luxury tax for J and F class tickets departing India.

So I gather that South Africa is still the place to start AONEx tix (assuming that positioning costs are ignored)?

Yes or CAI if you prefer the northern end of the continent.

Thanks. Looks like JNB is a fair amount cheaper, plus you get the extra mileage flying down there.

I don't understand this. If I start in CAI, I still get the 4 internal flights in Europe/ME, right? Obviously I need to use this allowance of 4 to get in and out of CAI, although I can finish anywhere in ME, not necessarily in CAI.
