There used to be a tool to see the costs of the xONEx fares starting from the various countries to see if it's worth it to do a positioning flight. Does that still exist? I can't seem to find it. Or do should I just play around with the booking tool?

Thanks in advance.

Sadly that tool on the oneworld website has been gone for quite some time. ExpertFlyer is the best option. Alternatively, if you post a few of your preferred departure countries, fare class and number of continents, someone here will always provide the base costs for you.

CAI, JNB, TYO are the cheapest places.

There was a spreadsheet which took data from the oneworld website. That data was removed from the site a few years ago (as it didn't include taxes which is required in many parts of the world), so the spreadsheet no longer worked.

You can only get prices one place at a time from the booking tool or a GDS lookup like expertflyer or kvs

I am looking at purchaing a D/A ONE4 to start in the Middle East.

Does anyone know the current prices ex CAI, AMM or anywhere else that is priced lower? Also, is it still possible to pull such information out of KVS tool?

CAI DONE4 is EGP 44000.00
CAI AONE4 is EGP 90300.00
AMM is more expensive

pricing tool for extra segments (NA)

Morning all,

I tend to use DONE4 or 3 to get cost efficient trips done on business.

Is there a tool out there that can accurately price additions of up to 2 segments, over the usual maximum, within a one world continent? In particular I'd like 8 segments in my NA trips. The one world planner stops at 6 for NA and this thread (post 1) suggests I can purchase 2 more segments within the ticket.

Regards

Genemage

As far as I can see that provision no longer appears permitted in the fare rules for DONE4 or DONE3.

All I can advise is making use of a surface sector and buying the fare separately.

Ah, thank you for the update

Hi All,

It's been a few years since my last AONEX.

I live in Sydney but can position to NRT, but I am looking for a good routing to maximise F, but using the OW tool I seem to be running into a lot of issues transiting in LHR.

What I'd like to do is something like SYD-DFW-YVR-JFK (assume Cathay still run this leg with F)-LHR(break for paid flight back to Oz) then 6 months later LHR-MCT-LHR-CPT-JNB-LHR-best use of Asia / south pacific and back to SYD or:

NRT-JFK-DEN-YVR-JFK-LHR (break) LHR-MCT-CPT-JNB-LHR (best use of asia / south pacific).

I'd welcome your thoughts as I get back into this. Happy to hear better ideas, my key constraints are I want to do SYD-DFW in QF F or equivalent out of NRT say to JFK, I want to get a 6m break in London (to travel back, then pick up again) I want to get to South Africa and I want to do something interesting in Asia before going back to AU. I want to max F sectors.

So far the best I have is SYD-DFW-las-YVR-JFK-sxm-JFK-LHR-mct-lhr-jnb-hkg-NRT-bkk-nrt-sin-SYD or nrt-jfk-sxm-jfk-yvr-las-lax-lhr-mct-lhr-jnb-hkg-pek-hkg-sin-syd-nrt or nrt-jfk-sxm-jfk-yvr-las-lhr-mct-lhr-jnb-hkg-bkk-del-bkk-sin-syd-nrt.

All improvements welcome.

Cheers,

Marcus.

Per Oneworld Explorer rules you can't do xxx-Europe-South Africa-Europe-xxx.

Yes CX still has F on YVR-JFK vv.

I don't think JNB-HKG still has F?
SYD-NRT does not have F.
Most intra-Asian flights do not have F.

Re YVR-JFK great.
Disappointed re JNB-HKG, I see that has now gone with the 747s.
I had thought I could get SYD-NRT but it seems not
Noted re intra-Asia, will need to pick carefully

Other ideas welcome, for example maximising F sectors above all else.

All correct. I used to do both SYD-JNB and HKG-JNB in F on a regular basis. CX pulled F on both these routes so it is now impossible to do a OW RTW in F via South Africa. (But they'll still charge you for A class even when they don't offer it on one of the segments between continents!)

JAL is running F between the NRT-SYD route right now. Looks like the service ends March 28.
