I had same issue, posted on it somewhere in this tread, as far as I could tell your only option is to try to get Citi to remove the cash advance fee since (hopefully) you are such a good customer.

If bonus whoring and coin purchases are looked at positively, then I'm a great customer :D

25,000 mile bonus deal is limited to ONE per customer per year

I'm not sure how you are managing to get away with THREE (accounts) but here's the skinny according to CHASE itself on the deal:

Chase Checking is currently offering up to 25,000 bonus miles when you open a Chase Checking account with a Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card, valid through June 30, 2010.

You’ll also receive Free First Checked Bags with this Chase Checking account and Continental Debit Card bonus.

Get 10,000 Bonus Miles when you open a Chase Checking account and make 5 debit card purchases or set up a direct deposit within 60 days.

Caution: DEBIT CARD PURCHASES NEED TO BE NON-PIN -- (Choose "Credit" at POS).

Get an extra 15,000 Bonus Miles when you make a qualified purchase on your Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card within 60 days of opening your account.

In addition, your First Checked Bag is free on all Continental Airlines flights, which is equal to a $30 round-trip savings per person per trip.

To qualify for this Chase Checking bonus, there is a $100 minimum opening deposit requirement of money not currently held by Chase or its affiliates.

To get the 10,000 bonus miles, you must make 5 debit card purchases within 60 days with any Chase debit card linked or used to access the new account OR initiate a repeating direct deposit within 60 days, including payroll, Social Security, or other government benefits.

The 10,000 bonus miles will be credited to your OnePass account within 6 to 10 weeks after your qualified transactions.

There is a limit of 1 personal checking account bonus per customer per year, and customers are eligible for the 10,000 bonus miles even if they do not get the Chase Continental Preferred Debit Card.

To get the 15,000 bonus miles, you must make a purchase without using a PIN within 60 days of opening your account.

It's not as easy as you might think to fool the bank today

I think I'm going to close my personal acct and then try opening online to see if it will take it.
My spouse doesn't have an account, but it a co-signer on mother's acct as power of atty and they are saying he is not eligible for a new account bonus either.

I'm not sure when my miles posted from last yr...may have been in 2010. Anyone had luck getting around that?

The banking system is smart. It will catch up with you with comparisions of tidbits of federally required information needed to open accounts today.

Also, FYI, once you have the Continental / Chase Preferred Debit Card, the Continental system also tracks the same tidbits of information about you and compares it all to link it to your One-Pass account number...

Can one have two personal/biz accounts at the same time?

I opened my 2009 person/biz accounts in December of last year. I don't want to cancel them yet because of the account closing fees. Can I open one personal/biz for 2010 even though I already have one personal/biz?

Thanks.

Ok, I just checked my onepass account and my 22500 miles are there!!! Yeah! I was just checking my Chase account online and the miles werent showing under my checking account rewards. They are in the Onepass account, so I think Im good!

Same thing here. I was monitoring my Chase account when suddenly they hit my OnePass account directly. It was a nice surprise. I'm glad the process went smoothly for you. In a few weeks you should see the final 2500.

Yep, so smart they could never drive the economy to the brink of disaster--and beyond. :D

hmm, they must have read my post ;)
the debit card fee has posted

So, I opened an account and chose the $25 debit card. Today my banker called back to inform that in order to receive the full 25k miles I would have to get the $65 card. So I went over the rules and they say:

Customers are still eligible for the first 10,000 miles even if they do not get the Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card.
...
Customers choosing the lower fee option will still receive the second 15,000 bonus mile award after the first qualifying purchase, limit one bonus mile award per customer, per calendar year.
Some people must believe that my reading comprehension skills are really lacking

As I was updating my Points.com with my One Pass account, the 10k for the checking bonus appeared. So from funding to 22.5K of the total 25k miles took less than 30 days. I applied online, no Chase branches within 200 miles. Also, if you have a One Pass account number already, it does indeed register for your checking account automatically.

One thing to take note of if you are using the 5 charges a month to avoid the $6 maintenance fee. I missed 15 credits on the Mileathon because it took THREE days to post my first purchase using the debit card for a charge. Posted on June 1. And this was after I tried to put through a charge maybe 45 minutes after activating the card and being denied the day before.

Also, I've spoken to a couple of reps about depositing another $50 or so to my account but not at a branch, and they make it seem like a huge hassle. Maybe it's just a miscommunication thing, but it seems it's simple to do your initial funding from a CC, but not so simple to deposit after. Better off just figuring out what you will need to cover your purchases, the debit card fee and any maintenance fee before you deposit.

I wonder why these Chase reps, continue to keep saying only the $65 card would work. Can't they read?

Just came back after visiting the local branch to take care of some other business. It turns out the banker did it in good faith: he went over the rules again because he wasn't familiar with the promo and wanted to make sure I'd get the miles. He proceeded to show me the text where supposedly they said I'd have to get the $65 card, but it was his reading comprehension skills that were lacking after all. After I pointed it out to him he didn't press me at all.

Are non-sign transactions qualifying? I've had debit cards but never really used them (chose to use my CCs for obvious reasons). I'm slightly confused because wherever I've used the card, I don't have the option of choosing debit/credit and neither does the cashier. They just swipe it through and it I don't have to sign anything or enter a PIN. Obviously, this is a non-PIN transaction, but I'm not sure if it qualifies because I thought you need a sign to qualify...

It seems lots of places don't require a signature for small credit card purchases any more. It's my understanding that as long as you don't enter a PIN at any stage during the process, it's a "non-PIN" transaction and therefore a credit, even if it's not physically signed or signed on the keypad.
