Finally got my procrastinating butt down to Chase this morning.

Opened both personal & business... have two tracking-pages for both accounts. I was all ready to ask for these things, but my banker was on top of it all!

Our biz accounts opened on 10/28 or 29. The opening bonus posted on 11/04. The 15K posted the following month after we did the debit card trannies. Still waiting for the 2500 miles from CO.

Our personal accounts opened in Mid Sept. Both big bonuses posted in October and the 2500 posted in December.

have not got any miles yet, opened the biz account 4 weeks ago, and no statements yet, so the miles post after closing date?
Thanks

It took mine about a month and a half to post.

A part of me wants to wait for mileathon expecting a similar offer next year... but I think I am going back tomorrow with the coupon code.

PS. I am new here, though I have been lurking for a few weeks now. My first post, yay!

Opend my biz today. keeping my fingers crossed.

Business account seems to use Calendar Month as statement cycle. Ours opened on Oct 28, statement closes on Oct 29 the last business day of the month. 10K showed up in OnePass account on Nov 4th. 12.5K showed up on Nov 22nd. Still waiting for the last 2500 from CO.

The reason why ours opened on the Oct 28 was because the offer previously had Oct 31 expiration date before it was extended to year end.

Our personal accounts were opened in 2nd half of Sept, did not remember exact date. 10K and 12.5K posted on Oct 4th. Remaining 2500 from CO posted on Nov 16th.

I will say Chase performs monthly sweep on the last day of the month for the account opening bonus, and bi-monthly sweep on the bonus triggered by debit card transaction(s) based on the way our bonuses posted to OnePass account.

If your account is opened towards the end of the month, you should see your account opening bonus posted in the first week of the following month. In the case of our business account, it is a merely 7 days.

If your account is opened right at the last day of the month or beginning of the month, you will wait a full month and a week before you see your account opening bonus.

This is my deduction from the data on our accounts. You can gauge yours to see if your bonus is overdue or not.

The 2500 from CO took 2 months after account opening to post. However Chase has done all its part, in a very timely fashion!

Sorry, I read several pages back, spent more than an hour but did not really find the right answer. The search in FT does not help much. Can someone please help me?
I applied directly online 2 days ago for personal checking but there was no option for continental debit card. When I chatted online 2 reps gave me 2 different answers. I went ahead and completed the application and called all three numbers found of this discussion and no one was able to help or guide.
chase customer support 1-800-935-9935
apply online 1-877-682-4273
continental chase 1-877-292-4273

Am I out of luck for the 15K miles or how do I go about it?
I also want to apply for my wife. Can she do it all over phone and would that be easier?
We are in KS and there are no branches to visit and business checking is not an option as I read and as told by one of the phone rep.

Thanks

I'm getting nowhere with my on line application (I have only myself to blame for waiting so long). I selected the Better Banking checking account because I don't have direct deposit available & I don't want to do debit card transactions each month (beyond what I need to do to comply with the terms of the offer), and the Better Banking option is the only one that lets me keep $1500 in the account to waive fees.

Even though I select Better Banking, the application keeps "converting" me to regular "Chase Checking" which is not what I want, because it doesn't offer the $1500 balance option.

Also, the debit card selection that the application offers me is not the Continental debit card, just a generic debit card. Yes, I've inputted a coupon code. I just saved the application and didn't go further because I don't want to open the wrong accounts.

Can anyone help with what I'm doing wrong? Or have I just not gone far enough? I'm so exasperated!! :( Thanks!

I read through the thread but I'm still a little unclear. I opened a personal account about two weeks ago. Is it still possible to open the business account (and receive the bonus) despite the terms and conditions saying you can't be an existing customer? Sorry if this has been answered before.

Yes. But you can only open it at a branch. If your location does not have a Chase branch, you would not be able to open a business account.

Use this link to apply for the Better Banking individual account:

You can't choose the Continental debit card online. Complete the online application process (making sure to include the coupon code). When you're done, make note of your new account number and call Chase to request one of the two Continental debit card options (one is $25/year, the other is $69/year I believe).

Here is a possible link to try applying for the BusinessClassic Checking Account online:
https://chaseonline.chase.com/chaseo...=SMALLBUSINESS

Can anyone confirm if this link with the coupon code would do the trick?

Hello I am also trying to sign up for the personal checking last minute for the bonus.

I tried calling to open the account but was told since there is no branch in my state I would have to open the account online. I tried applying online for both the Chase Better Banking Checking and the standard chase checking account using my coupon code for this offer. On both applications, when I reach the last stage I get an error message that states: "This Coupon Code isn't valid with the account(s)or card(s) you've selected. Please select the correct debit card and/or account to redeem your Coupon Code, then click "Next." You may also click "Proceed Without Coupon"

The problem is there is only one debit card option and that is the regular chase debit card.

Any opinions on what I should do? Apply online without the coupon code and then call in for them to add it and request the CO debit card? Will I still be eligible for the promo if I did it that way?

Thanks for the help! :D

Hi vortix, Actually, that's the link I WAS using, but after I got several pages into the application, the text at the top said something to the effect of "You are applying for a Chase Checking account" - which to me is not what I was applying for, I was applying for the Better Banking Checking Account - and that's why I stopped. Maybe I'm too grammatical, but if it said I was applying for a Chase checking account (generic term) I wouldn't have questioned it, but when it said I was applying for a Chase Checking account (which is specifically one of their products), this caused confusion.

I tried to save the application & received an e-mail telling me what to do to continue the application, but when I follow those instructions they don't work either.

I didn't realize I couldn't get the desired debit card online. I read most of this thread over a period of months and many of the posts referred to getting two tracking numbers, one for the checking account and one for the debit card - which led me to believe that there should be an option for the Continental debit card. I see others applying today are having issues as well, which leads me to believe it's not necessarily us that is the problem, maybe Chase is trying to make things difficult in these waning days of the promotion. And again, I do blame myself for waiting so long!

same here, have waited too long to apply (my bad!!) and just saw there is no option for continental debit card online, the only choice is the free chase debit card.. Chatted and was told that this promo only works in branch... saved and exited as I am hesisted to proceed
