Me too. Both my wife and I got 22,500. We signed up for the Business Checking on 12/28 and 12/29, and finished 5 debit transactions on 1/5.

Waiting for this to come back. I was too lazy to take advantage and now I've missed it...

My sign up date was mid October. I haven't received any miles. I'm starting to wonder if I have a second account.

Most likely so. You can call CO to ask them to check if you have 2 or even more accounts. Or you can send a secured email to Chase, give your One Pass Account Number and ask them to check if this is the one in Chase records.

Closing account

Does anyone know if closing my Chase checking account will have a negative impact on my ability to later successfully apply for Chase charge cards?

I have had several accounts opened and closed, and I never have a problem opening more accounts/debit cards.

I opened a chase checking account in November. I have the continental debit card. I did the debit/credit transactions etc., the miles are not posed yet. How long does it take to post miles and is there a contact number I can enquire about.

Thanks.

- According to the terms, the wait is 6-8 weeks
- Send a secured mail to inquire.

Is the 2500 the best going right now? If so, should I wait for a better deal?

Well, it has nothing to do with earning miles but Chase is offering $100 to open a new checking account by 1/31/2011. You have to not currently have a Chase checking account. There is a minimum $500 direct deposit requirement (in a single deposit). Keep in mind, they will send you a 1099 for the $100 but it's still free money. It'll pay your baggage fees on your next award flight.

I am fighting with chase now over the last 12,500 for the debit card usage. Thye say I made pin based transactions and I did not. I do not even know what the pin is.

I hope they see the light.

Do you have a phone number to call

So my fight with Chase now is over a $6 monthly fee. They say I didn't do 5 debit card transactions in the month. I did, but they change the statement date each month.

So it's:

a) not the calendar month

and

b) not the same date each month

Nice little scam to rack up the fees. And my direct deposit won't cover that base either since I split it into so many places already.

I plan to close the account. I just don't know how long to wait to keep from getting a miles clawback.

It could be b/c of the place you used it at. I used to use Verizon to make 12 non-PIN transactions to get a high rate of interest at my bank, till one month when Verizon posted them as PIN based transactions. I lost the high interest for that month. Recently someone on FT reminded me that there is an option to post transactions as a VISA transaction on Verizon and when I did that it looks like it posted as a non-PIN transaction.

I was in the same boat! The transactions came through as pin based though they were online purchases. Decided not to fight as the charges were only pennies. I am more afraid of a Chase review that might lead to a total ban. Chase is a good source of bonuses and I did not want to risk it.
