I just now clicked on the link (for the regular, non business, account): https://www.chase.com/index.jsp?pg_n..._Consumer_9938
It says September 30, 2010 (although earlier, or via a different link, it may have said June 30, 2010).

Clicking on the link for the business account, a June 30, 2010 date comes up:https://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?...&ID=0000009898

I was at the bank for two hours with me and the banker fighting with the chase help desk about the first page stating September and the next one with June and they were basically stating I changed it but later that day they called me and stated chase messed up.. Hopefully their help center fixes the problem

As for the miles, if I remember right there was a next-to-the-last page which summarized all the information, including the amounts of the promised miles.

As for the OnePass account number, I already had one. If I remember correctly (and again my application was a while ago) they may have asked for it - and if you do not already have a number there may be a place where you ask to be enrolled (or where they state they will enroll you).[/QUOTE]

Okay, thanks for the reply. Going to apply online today. We'll see how it goes

You are right... it looks like Chase messes up.... I didn't click the link. My apology.

Really quick turnaround for the miles for me ^

Opened a checking account on 6/17 and at the moment (7/9) I have 22,500 miles (10K plus 12.5K) in the OnePass account, just waiting on the last 2,500. Have to say I'm impressed.

Help me identify the sources of these bonus miles

I recently opened Chase Continental Debit/Checking for both personal and business. I fulfilled the requirements to get the full 25,000 bonus miles for each account. So far, I have received 3 separate bonus mile postings (see below). But, I can not tell for each of the three postings, what is the source the personal or the business account?

If you opened just a personal or just a business, please review the bonus mile postings in your Continental account and compare the exact posting language to my posting. From that information, kindly tell me for each of my postings what account they relate to. I hope this request makes sense. Thanks.

1. 6/21/2010 Continental Debit Bonus 12,500
2, 6/14/2010 Chase Checking Bonus 10,000
3, 6/10/2010 Chase Debit Card Enrollment Bonus Miles 10,000

No way getting around opening in person at a branch? Has anybody tried to open it over the phone?

I live in MSP, where we do not have a Chase branch. I was in Southern Wisconsin, saw a branch, and within a half an hour, I had an account set up. My miles just posted today.

To answer your question, I called the banker last week, and she processed most everything for my sister to set up an account over the phone. She had to only send a signature card to my sister, who signed it and returned it along with a $100 check to open the account.

So, I think if you call a branch (or two!) and find a nice banker, you will be fine not doing it in person. I just told them I wanted the account because of how great I had heard Chase online was (I'm actually not that impressed) and they were fine.

By the way, I just got my miles. I will live near Fukuoka, Japan next year, and my sister lives on Tinian, just north of Saipan. A round trip ticket FUK-SPN is pricing out at $800-$900 during the winter. Or, I could just use the 25,000 miles and $28 dollars in taxes. I am finding availability most everyday from December to March--when I am going to need some sun.

Once again, thank you Flyertalk!

abcx Jul 10, 2010 12:10 pm

Well, I got 45k for both cards pretty quickly so I'm hoping the remaining 5k will post without any issues.

ma91pmh Jul 11, 2010 12:10 pm

it took over 3 months but finally got all 50k for the biz and personal accounts

think i will repeat for mrs ma

Do you mean it is available in just some U.S. states but not all of them? If that's what you mean, I do not know for sure, but I would be very surprised if that is the case.

A related point: the special offer for the business account has expired as of June 30, 2010 as far as I can tell.

Yup you are right muji,

I think I confused state limitation for Chase classic account from JeffISU post:
((Edit: Chase website for Business Classic account info states that account is only available in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, MI, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV. I live in VA, so am I out of luck?))

And sorry missed your post above where you have mentioned this thing about expiration. Will shoot chase mail and clarify it once.

Thanks

Dracs
