Did you have to proactively go after them or did they finally show up automatically? Have no way to know which account(s) the 10K+12.5K I've got so far are from.

The offer is no longer available but something great happened. I have recently opened the checking account on 5/28/10 and would have def not be able to do a qualifying purchase before 5/31/10 like the condition stated since the card came a week and a day later. Wellllllllll it still happened.

Card must be acquired between April 1 and May 31, 2010. First purchase must be made by May 31, 2010, to earn Mileathon credit. Learn more and apply now. Continental Airlines is wholly responsible for fulfillment of Mileathon credits. Account is subject to approval. Restrictions and limitations apply. Annual fee applies. does one card give more points per dollar than the other?

I forget the original terms, but does anyone know offhand whether the $65 biz card gives more miles per dollar spent than the $25 personal card? I'm going by a Chase and I want to close one of these accounts so I can stop half the transactions I need per month.

Thanks!

I believe the $65 card gives you 1 mile per dollar, while the $25 card gives you one mile per 2 dollars.

The $65 card is 1 mile per dollar, while the $25 card is 1 mile per 2 dollars.

There have been reports, though, that if you link the two accounts, transactions on the business account will waive the fee on the personal account as well. You might want to ask Chase about that if this option seems more appealing.

be aware that chase charges a $25 fee for closing an account early...3-6 months depending on the terms.
I had to wait 6 months before closing my first personal account.
I dont believe you can link them and avoid the 5 transaction minimum, as a matter of fact I dont think you can link a business and personal account as they are treated seperately (thats why you get a bonus for each)
Someone posted that if you have a zero balance they cant charge you the $6 fee for not making the 5 swipes but I have doubts if that would work....anyone want to be a guinea pig and test it?.....I doubt the bankers would tell you even if it were true.

Here's a question...I know Chase limits you to opening ONE credit card per 6 month period. Do you think opening this (bank acct + debit card) would count towards this limit? ie, could one open a chase bank acct+debit card (25k miles) AND a chase/CO credit card (~25k miles) in a 6 month period? Anyone have experience with this? I know these two issues should be completely separate but you never know..

By opening a business account (which has no 5 debit a month minimum) you can open a higher level personal checking account without any additional fee, and that will also have no monthly minimum debit transaction requirement.

I opened both with a few weeks of each other. No problem at all. And my One Pass account quickly added 50000 +

I opened both a biz and a personal account and was told by the banker that I still need to do 5 transactions on the business debit to keep both free. I need to go home and look at the documentation though.

Business accounts do have a five transaction minimum, just like the personal account...the only way to avoid the 5 transaction requirement is to start direct deposit instead.
