I've recieved the 12,500 and the 2,500, but not the 10,000 yet. It's been over two months.... Should I contact someone?

I opened a Chase personal checking in early May, and 22,500 of the bonus has posted to my OP account so far. Carefully weighing the business checking account option, as well, since I can always use another 25k.

Some notes if you do happen to have both business and personal:

1) I was told that opening a business checking, when you already have a personal, provides the benefit that making your fee-waiving transactions (direct deposit or 5 debit card transactions) on the business checking waives them for the personal checking, too.
2) You can set up an outside bank account to make transfers into your chase accounts - which should count as a direct deposit transaction.

If it's possible to get the 25k bonus for both personal and business, and you do a little legwork to set up direct deposit to yourself (presuming your employer can't or won't split your direct deposit, if you have it, to more than one account), then it should be possible to generate 50k per year with no actual spend, and a modest funds transfer commitment from an existing bank account.

The only spend would be for the debit cards ($85/year). And I thought that the new coupons for the business account say that if you have an existing Chase checking account, you can't qualify for the bonuses. Also, I'm concerned about this phrase: "Limit one 15,000 bonus OnePass miles premium per customer per calendar year: - do they count the 15k bonus for the personal account as part of that?

Be careful with this. Some have reported the transfer doesn't count as direct deposit. I personally won't risk 25K miles and try.

Refused by bank manager
 
I was refused by the Bank Manager yesterday! I am still speechless. I did this last year and 2 weeks ago I closed 3 checking accounts (two CO and another old one). Then I took my wife in this branch to open her own personal checking account (first one ever for her) and everything worked flawlessly. I really liked the service and was thinking of finally getting away from my Bank of America. I made the stupid mistake of going back to the same branch and the same csr who informed the manager who came in and started interrogating me about my usage, you will not keep the accounts, let's transfer your BofA accounts, how much do you keep in your business account and on and on and on...at least half an hour going back and forth! I told her I have been thinking of getting away from BofA anyways but leaving them after 30 years and so many automatic payments/direct deposits is too much hassle but I am willing to bring over the business account pronto (and get another 25k CO miles...hey, can't help it:D ). Anyways, he flatly refused to open the account for me. I left furious and had a chat with my FT buddy who told me to go back and speak to her manager...Anyways, I did that, she was not happy and finally gave me someone's name and I left a message...I kind of doubt he will do anything but I just wanted to express my profound displeasure of the service of this lady who was blackmailing me to bring over my accounts when I just wanted to comply with the Terms and Conditions of her employer! Why is this bad business? Because there is now NO chance in hell I would ever bring my regular business to Chase as long as I am alive! The funny thing was that at one time, after I told her what I do for a living (am a financial planner CFP and CPA and manage money), she had the audacity to tell me to come in and talk with an investment adviser in her branch......!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, I am now afraid she may put a note on my account to watch for me if I go to another branch...Any thoughts or recommendations?

I'll have to wait and see. The 25K is not in play here, as the account was opened, and I have the Continental-branded debit card, and if I leave the account open for the (was it 4 or 6 months?) time required to meet the bonus mileage T&C.

I think it'll be worth possibly paying one monthly maintenance fee to see if the transfer counts as a DD.

Did my part of deposite and 5-10 signature transactions every month.

Called several times (the local branch and the 800 number on the back of the debit card) and was told that the miles are there allocated to my account ... but they are not showing at my CONT account ... what gives?

Any similiar experiences, comments or suggestions?

Find the confirmation letters for the points....you should have 1 for 10,000 and 1 for 15,000...they gave them to you when you signed up. you have already recieved the 15,000.
take the letter to your branch with the 10,000 bonus miles and the confirmation code on it, then they can look in their system and see what happened to the points.

it is possible to get both bonuses as business and personal are seperate things with chase and you can get the bonus once per calender year for each. you have to keep them open 6 months to not pay a penalty. you cannot make a transfer and call it a DD it has to be a payroll or government check. They do not waive the 5 transaction requirement if you have both accounts, like I said they treat them as seperate...so you have to make 5 swipes with each debit card per month to avoid the monthly fees.

no the personal and business accounts are seperate...each is eligable for the bonus once per calender year....also this seems to be based on when the bonus posts...if you signed up in late 2009 and your points didnt post till 2010 then they might give you a hard time, if you got your bonus in 2009 you can close the account (after 6 months to avoid penalties) and then open a new one and get your 2010 promotion points. also if CO miles are not your thing they have offers for $100 and $125 to open checking account, of course this counts as your yearly bonus and cant be combined with the 25k miles offer. also the fees for both are $90...$65 for the preferred business card and $25 for the regular....the preferred earns 1 point per $ the regular 1 point per $2, so use the business accounts for any big purchases.

mentally tell her to kiss your a$$ and go to another branch with your coupon, dont go blah blahing about your accounts at other banks and they wont ask you about them, just tell them your in a hurry and sign up for account. I doubt they noted anything on you in their system unless you made a big scene leaving the other bank. even then I dont believe there is a place to post comments like that on your account screen (i've seen mine many times).
Even if they did you can explain they were being obnoxious trying to get you to move accounts and sign up for stuff you didnt want so you left disgusted.
It is not against the rules to shut down an account and sign up for a new one, or to get a yearly sign up bonus in 2009 and 2010. they get a commission for every new checking account they sign up, so they should be accomodating.

sometimes it takes 10 weeks instead of the stated 6-8. The confirmation papers that show the 10,000 miles and 15,000 miles each have a code on them. the sole purpose of this code is to track you bonus miles. you can take that paper (given to you when you signed up) and go to the branch and they can go in the system and see if the mile request has been approved, submitted, pending, ect.
you can get the info even without the confirmation codes, but if your like me and have had multiple awards, the number comes in handy to help identify which award is missing.

My particular branch denied my request for the additional business bonus due to the following wording on the newer coupons: "This bonus mile offer is not available to customers with an existing Chase checking account. Limit one business checking account-related premium per customer per calendar year."
But the two statements combined do leave the issue a little murky, or maybe a lot murky. If the limit is simply ONE account, regardless of what type, then why the need for that additional clarification of "one business..per calendar year."
It's these poorly worded T&C's that can make things such a hassle.
Good luck on your particular branch's interpretation. I'll have to try another one I guess...
