CO BIZ bumped to 50K. I never saw a 50 K offer. When and how did u get matched ? Thanks

I applied for and received the Continental 50k last March. The annual fee came due a couple of weeks ago. I immediately applied for the United card for the 50k bonus. I just got a call from Chase. They offered to close my "United" card (what was called my Continental card until a few weeks ago) in order to open a new United card. The rep confirmed the 50k bonus. ^

As you can see, I don't post much, but I've been reading A LOT over the past year on here. As a result, my partner and I have earned over 1.3 million points since I started reading FT! Thanks, FT! :)

Update: Got the card in Dec or Jan, my T&C said the only lounge passes would be sent on the anniversary date. I received two passes in the mail today!

My wife and I each received a pair of lounge passes this week, and they state they are valid through 11/30/2013! :)

ummm, I got a "pending decision... in 30 days..." message after I submitted my application online. Then I called the recon line and got a guy who insisted I should wait for about 30 days. Then I requested to speak to a credit specialist, and that guy alleged that he is a credit specialist. So, I hang up. Now the question is whether I should call back the recon line again...

Yes my wife has had CO Onepass Plus since Jan 2011 (30K bonus then)(managed to waive the annual fee that hit this Jan) + she also has United Milease Plus Visa (basic one) with 50K bonus in March 2011, and after March 3, 2012, she applied for the 50K offer on United Explorer using the link provided in this thread, and just got approved within 5 days. Now she has all 3 cards on hand and whether she will really get this second 50K bonus, we will see. Although there are posts saying this shouldn't be a problem, I will prepare for the worst to avoid too much disappointment. :)

:confused: I just got my passes today but they are only good until 4/30/2013! I wonder what's going on... (BTW, I was perfectly happy with that until I read your post!)

This is good news. I'm in the same boat with the older UA Visa, and CO OP+ which appears converted to UA Explorer online (and acquired in Feb 2011). Please keep us posted whether her 50K bonus posts. If so, this will definitely be my next card.

My experience is quite different. Applied online, got decision pending notification and called the reconsideration line 4 days later. The lady I spoke to offered to shuffle the credit lines between Chase cards to approve this one and everything was looking good. Then she asked about my old UA card (platinum class that earns PQMs) and said that I would have to close that one in order to get the new one since I can't have 2 UA cards. I was not willing to do this for multiple reasons and she said that she would have to decline my new application at which point I asked her to make sure that the credit pull with Experian is reversed since nowhere during the application process I was informed of this limitation. She gladly submitted the request to the proper channel and I guess I'll have to wait and see if the promised letter shows up in the mail.

The Mrs. and I each have 2 United Cards. 2 old cards that were converted to no-fee cards and 2 new Explorers!

Well, good for you. I guess I got someone who either misinterpreted the rules or you slipped through the cracks (although it seems that the crack is mile-wide based on how many people got through :rolleyes:). I'd appreciate if someone has something official from Chase that would dispute the exclusion based on a (very) old UA card.
