As I posted few days back, I tried logging into UA with various machines (XP, Win 7) and combinations of Browsers (IE7 & 8, Firefox 3.6) and clearing all caches, still no luck in landing on the 60K page, always got redirected to the 40K page.

Today, I use Firefox 3.6 on Win 7 machine, clear all cookies and everything, login to UA using my UA flyer number, and I immediately see the advertisement offer banner at the top of my account screen with 60K offer!!

Took a screen print and applied, and got instantly approved.

However, just one little thing that bugs me. When I click the banner and applying the card, someone it auto fills my application form with Continental flyer number, not UA flyer. Is that standard? or is it Continental flyer number is replacing UA?

Thanks

That is good news. I'll try to get my father to try again today.

Yes, Cont # has taken over.

I've learned so much from these forums that I just wanted to contribute and share my experience for those in my situation. I still had the Continental Onepass card after the conversion March 3. After reading about the 60k/40k offer glitch, I messed around with it and was finally able to get into the 60k application using a different browser and resetting cookies/history etc. I applied for that along with the Southwest on the same day. Got pending decision on both yesterday. For background, I applied and got instant decision for Sapphire just under a month ago. I called recon line this morning, which is an amazing option btw, and was able to get both cards approved. The lady originally suggested I close my CO card and move the credit line to the United Card, and move some of my CL from Sapphire for the Southwest card. I chose to keep my CO card open for now, but moved some of the CL over for the UAL. Got both approved. Now the big question is will 1) I get the signup bonus for the UAL despite my CO card already coverting to United after conversion 2)Will I get the 60k or the 40k...

sorry this is probably mentioned in the thread, but do i need at least 1 mile in my united account? Can i apply and get the 60k without the 1 mile? thanks

I am reading this as any MileagePlus Explorer account (Visa or Mastercard), which I assume your continental has now converted to. But whether this is put in practice or not, I dont know. Other posters in this forum have had success getting the bonus even though they hold non-explorer United cards, which is in contradiction to the second sentence of the above terms and conditions.

OK thanks. I will likely cancel my CO card and get a new UA card. I was never notified about the change, and still haven't received a UA card to replace my CO card. Worst case, I'll ask Chase customer service to post the bonus miles after the fact....they are usually extremely helpful in granting bonus points/miles when given a reasonable reason to do so.

Decided to go ahead and execute my wife's churn for this quarter and we DID GET the 60k offer for her. Woohoo! So far 4 out of 5 cards with instant approval, but this United came back with "wait for decision" probably because she just got Chase Freedom in Dec/Jan, and also has SW from early Fall/late summer, as well as had BA htat was canceled a year ago. That, and we don't spend anything at all on her cards except chase freedom now due to Amazon $1500 5point bonus going on right now.

When do those United Club passes get here?

debating on switching to UA from DL next year....just applied and approved. My last chase apps were the sapphire preferred in june and prioritiy club in july. ~760 from all 3, just refinanced our house last week too (not sure how that affects my score)

yep. 60K link works now.Wasn't working on Friday. Somehow I missed this offer and just applied for it.

I have a question..
A while back Chase told me that I had way too many applications for CC cards. The usual crap about are you in debt and blah blah. Tried to explain that I have 3 active credit cards only, and only use one for business and personal andpaying it off in full every month. Still got rejected.Any idea how to convince them to approve me? I have excellent credit score, no debt and still get rejected some times.

I was told 6-8 weeks when I called to activate the card. Others have reported far less than that amount of time.

I'm still waiting on mine....activated 2 weeks ago...

Peace!

See post # 1031 on previous page. I haven't called yet. Let us know how it worked out.

Update: I called 888-245-0625 and the rep looked up my app using my SS number. I was approved. :) So if you get the pending message, it does not necessarily mean that you will be denied and have to call the recon line to plead your case.

Both ares have been activated and the bonus miles posted - mine has been open more than 8 weeks. I wasn't looking for passes because nothing said I'd get them before the anniversary date - but based on comments here I've been hoping :-)
