Hello guys, I am new on the forum and I have been approved for UA explorer. I was denied the first time for too many request for credit. Then I called and I got approved but the person said I wouldn't receive the bonus. Is there any way to get the bonus after getting the card? thanks.
G. Chase was once great about "bumping" a bonus but ever since the Sapphire 50k -> 100k they have been less willing to do it. |

Would the old card you just cancelled (just like the grandfathered CO Presidential Platinum cards which offer flex EQMs based on spend thresholds) not have been beneficial in holding?

I read somewhere that if you use the UA Explorer card to purchase tickets from UA, the miles will be counted as a PQM. Is this true?

Actually the current T&C for the passes indicates that you will get them 8-10 weeks even during the first year as well:
"United Club Passes: You will receive two (2) Club passes after account opening and every account anniversary thereafter. Please allow 8 – 10 weeks after account opening for delivery of Club passes. Please allow 2 – 4 weeks from your credit card account anniversary date each year thereafter for delivery. Club passes cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or addresses outside the 50 United States and Washington D.C. To qualify for this bonus offer, your credit card account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. Valid when presented at any United Club location. Each pass is valid for one (1) guest for one (1) visit. United Club representatives will retain this certificate. No cash value. Cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. All United Club membership guidelines apply. Chase is not responsible for offer fulfillment. " |

Please! Does someone have a screen print of these Terms & Conditions they could send me? Chase is claiming I won't get the passes until the anniversary date. I am 100% positive I applied for the offer quoted above as I read it mulitple times before applying. My only screen shot was of the splash screen and it does not indicate recieving passes after account opening. Damn I should have screen printed the T&C's!!!
I have same problem--screen print anyone---TKS |

...I actually accomplished this somewhat differently: I first clicked on the 60,000 offer on my United page; the 40,000 offer then came up...hit my "go back" button on my browser - and, voilà, I was now on the 60,000 offer page. Strange, and convoluted, indeed.

Somehow I got the feeling that if the 60K does not come up by itself but requires several interventions...I hope both of your applications are indeed for the 60K and please do post back the outcome for the benefit of the thread.

Our miles posted yesterday, yay!! Also have a Continental one pass that I just got charged the annual fee on. I called up to cancel and they transferred me to other line and asked me to reconsider with my choice of the following: $150.00 credit applied to statement, 12K miles, or 2 presidential club passes. I opted for $150.00 credit.:)
Do I need to expressly ask for a transfer to retention? Are we stuck for this year because we didn't call before she paid the annual fee (in January or so)? |

I just talked to the front-line Chase CSR re: my wife's OnePass-turned-UA Explorer card, and they wouldn't offer her anything, nor did they offer a transfer to the retention department. Said we were trying to narrow down the number of cards she has with annual fees, between the UA and BA cards.

Do you have your confirmation email?
