Is there an offer out there that gets you the Club Passes right away, instead of waiting for your anniversary? I recently cancelled my Chase OnePass card because I wasn't going to get the Passes until July, and I have two flights I was going to use the passes for.

I also see the 60k offer in my account, although it switches to the 40k offer when I click through.

I just cleared my cookies and logged in and the 60k offer no longer reverts to the 40k one. I think I found the trick to get the 60k offers if you have miles in your account. Click apply now on the 40k offer and enter your mileageplus number and pin and let the application open. Close the application and open united.com once again and click on the credit card offer again in the home page. It should now go to the 60k offer.

I have trouble getting the 60,000 offer even when it shows up when I'm in my account. ...I've discovered I need to go back and forth a couple of times before the 60,000 mile offer finally comes up for me. Strange. Might help someone out there having the same problem.

It appears most (if not all) the people who get the Explorer Card are getting the passes - even though the T&C said not until your anniversary date. Mine said that yet I received mine a couple of weeks ago - about 3 months after I got the card.
"United Club Passes: You will receive two (2) Club passes after account opening and every account anniversary thereafter. Please allow 8 – 10 weeks after account opening for delivery of Club passes. Please allow 2 – 4 weeks from your credit card account anniversary date each year thereafter for delivery. Club passes cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or addresses outside the 50 United States and Washington D.C. To qualify for this bonus offer, your credit card account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. Valid when presented at any United Club location. Each pass is valid for one (1) guest for one (1) visit. United Club representatives will retain this certificate. No cash value. Cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. All United Club membership guidelines apply. Chase is not responsible for offer fulfillment. " |

Actually the current T&C for the passes indicates that you will get them 8-10 weeks even during the first year as well:

" As for the last line - "Chase is not responsible for offer fulfillment," I didn't really understand that as the Chase agent said that the passes come from Chase and not United (i.e. Chase is sending them to you) so Chase has to be "responsible" in some way to fulfill this offer. I mean, it's actually one of the main perks they advertise that come with this card. I know it wouldn't cause as much as an uproar as opposed to them not fulfilling the bonus miles but still...I want to have the chance to eat some stale cookies and cheap cheese before I hop on one of their old clunkers. |

I had been having the same problem over and over again this past week. I took your advice - and was successful in getting the 60,000 offer to come up. I actually accomplished this somewhat differently: I first clicked on the 60,000 offer on my United page; the 40,000 offer then came up; I clicked on that as though I wanted to complete the application; got a message saying something like this page is temporarily unavailable; hit my "go back" button on my browser - and, voilà, I was now on the 60,000 offer page. Strange, and convoluted, indeed.
I hope both of your applications are indeed for the 60K and please do post back the outcome for the benefit of the thread. |

Somehow I got the feeling that if the 60K does not come up by itself but requires several interventions - at the end even though we thought we would apply thru the 60K link but in all reality, the app page itself may still be coded with the 40K offer.

Was asked during activation what offer I signed up for
FWIW - I applied, got the card, and called the activation number. A Chase rep took the card number, etc and then asked "And how many bonus miles did you sign up for?". Had never been asked before. Told her I thought it was the 60k offer, and she said "well, I see it as 50k, but you can earn another 10k after $25k spend". Just thought it was odd that she asked even though she appeared to already know.

My cc account statement closed on 3/19 and points show on it. Points haven't shown up on united.com as of today 3/25. Should I just be patient and wait more?

Perhaps they meant more along the lines of, if the passes aren't honored or you have a gripe about using them after the fact, talk to the airline because Chase got you your pass, but they can't make the airline honor them.
