I do not believe Chase will approve more than 2 cards in a 60 day period, but I do not have data to prove it. There is a whole thread in the Credit Cards Forum, I think it is a Chase Master Thread, with data points of how frequently people have been able to get approvals. I'm too lazy to find a link!
Chase pulled both Experian and Equifax for me again, and gave me an instant approval. I really wish they didn't pull both credit bureaus. I did have miles in my account, and after transferring miles into my husband's account and clearing cookies, was able to apply for the 60,000 point offer for him as well. (Pending approval). |

I logged in and out on Firefox and Safari and Internet explorer at work. I clicked on link provided by the OP. I cleared all cookies from the 3 browsers and I DO NOT see a 60k banner. There is a picture of the United Explorer. When I click it showed the 40k offer. What else can I do? Doesn't United like me???? |

I got the Sapphire in Nov, Marriott in early Dec, United MP Explorer a few days ago. I have to call reconsideration line every single time, though. |
I've loggin in to my MP account off and on for the last few months and all I've ever gotten is the standard 40k offer.
Logged in today and got the 60k banner. Of course, it's more of a 50k offer since you need to spend $25,000 to get the last 10k miles. 50k for a single purchase with first year fee waived is an excellent deal these days. Applied and got the "we're evaluating your application" message. |
The only thing stopping me is that I had last year the United Card, cancelled few months ago.
And I see this time Chase specifically says offer is not good for previous United card holders. So it looks no good if you had ANY United Card with them before, not just the new United Explorer. Please tell me I am not right:( |

That's not true, at least in my case.

This is the same thing that's making me wary of applying as well. I had the United Mileage Plus VISA (Signature, the one with $60 annual fee) which I recently downgraded to a non-Signature product with no fee, but it's still a United Visa. I have yet to see a definitive conclusion on whether this language disqualifies me from the sign-up bonus.

I'm concernd about that langauge also, but I thought I saw that someone sent a secure message and got confirmation that only United Explorer cardholders are disqualified.

I currently have the CO OnePass credit card with Chase - and I had canceled my United Visa last Fall sometime. What's the chance I'd get this card?? (I do have the 60k offer in my UAL Account..)
Correction: I checked my records and I canceled the UA Visa in June, 2011. I received the UA Explorer card in mid-December, so just over 6 months between the two. |

Very strange.
I have both old UA and CO cards now, and when I loged into my MP account, I can't see any offer at all. I mean, all I can see is the UA explorer card benefits, but there is no button that I can click to apply for it. And I don't see 40 or 60k offer either. I guess it is because I had the old cards. Anyone else had the same experience? |
For what it's worth, I have no status with UA, but did just take a flight with them a few weeks ago, and had a small number of miles in my account before that, and I had the 60,000 mile offer in my account without any tricks.
I've only recently realized how much I'm missing out on free points and miles by ignoring all of these offers, so I went ahead and applied, and was approved instantly (I have two other Chase cards, but haven't applied for any new credit cards in at least five years.) Looking forward to getting in on many more of these offers in the near future! |

My last Chase application was Marriott Rewards November 13, 2011. Prior to that, the other string of Chase cards (British Airways, One pass, Southwest, Sapphire) were May to June 16, 2011.
Should I wait ? |
