Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

Older portions of the thread have been separated into archive thread by year. They are listed below

I realise that I am more risk adverse than some, but personally I don't trust a system like that. And I never personally use it, or any other site like that. Nor do any of the experienced FDers that I know.
Precisely. Same goes for FareFreaks. They could easily do all the processing in the browser but instead they send it back to their servers.

This is why many shy away from these tools for any tricked itins.

Why is this MasterGeek guy posting someone else's old trick from 2013 and trying to pretend it's his own...? red flag...

He can't figure out his own deals, so is trying to buy cred with someone else's work.

Pretty poor effort.

Many of the gems are not even ITA-ble and have a very different logic behind the construction.
I absolutely know that playing with Ita is not enough also because is hard all the time to make trials.. In the place where I lived in last 5 years(c3)all the tickets were issued with no YQ. Being back in Europe I started to check better the FD system but, as you saw, I am a newbie

any hints also in pm?

C1-C3 $360

This is similar to a self dump that was publicized on all the blogs this year.
A commonly used short hop 3x (thought to be dead) took about $200 off YQ. Other C3 destinations possible for the same (ish) price, perhaps cheaper.

ITAble, OTAble with one of the main ones, also on one of the carriers' website...

(caveat - a conformist at heart, I have tried to keep within this forum's guidelines. If more direction is needed to make it useful I may edit).

Haven't been in here for ages as I simply haven't had time or the possibility to book a flight ticket, but now I've decided to quit my job and possibly relocate to Australia. Before doing so I want to visit a few more countries and parts of the world I haven't visited.

Looking at leaving Sweden going to
i) South America. Arriving:BOG/CCS or other Northern South American airports. Departing: Preferably SCL, but EZE/GRU/GIG could work.
ii) Southern Africa (SA, Namibia, Botswana, Mocambique, Zimbabwe). Arriving: anywhere. Departing: Anywhere
iii) Australia. Arriving:MEL/SYD

I'm not looking for specific dumps per se, but rather looking for general ideas what I should think of/look for before booking my flights. I feel with this kind of itinerary the amount of possible dumps is massive. I had originally planned going i) Southern Africa, ii) South America, iii) Australia and managed to get it down to 830 USD+10k avios w/o any "proper" dumping, but going that direction is simply so much more easy to dump. I am no stranger to sit in sh*tty terminals for 20 hours or have 15 transfers along the way.

Is there a reason for posting the Fare amount?
All I see is that people are posting like C2-C3, we could do that all day everyday and it then doesn't mean anything.

Yes. You see the price that is possible and can try by your own.

Not quite. He knows that the average member doesn't read more than the last posting.

I remember there was one poster who wanted to capitalise on a tragedy that happened in the past and pretending he was a relative who had to go ....looking for free handout. Now we have the charity angle...the lengths people will go to to avoid any effort and get it served on a silver platter. Jeez!

Humanity can stoop pretty low at times...never under estimate that fact. Bloggers come to mind. Of course politicians take the lead in this endeavor. There is a nice FD from C1-C3 so hopefully these kind souls doing kind works for no pay can find them if they look.

Dont get me started on the blogs. One of the oldest tricks on AZ (and generally the only way it can be dumped) was posted in the MR thread in the clear on FT....that was copied by SF and other blogs...and today this trick has been closed.....this is the nonsense we have to deal with.....
