For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.

----

NOTE: You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----

*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")

NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

MQD Needed: 0
Required Spend or Budget: CHEAPEST POSSIBLE

What's the cheapest rate for getting about 1400 mqm's?

But happy to go anywhere if it's super cheap.

Departure Airport: AUS (could also do SAT/Houston/Dallas if I had to)
Miles Needed: 12,099 to Platinum
Required Spend or Budget: $1,356 MQD
Available Travel Dates: 12/14 - 12/31; prefer 12/21 or later
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: Codeshare ok
Probably easiest to get this flying Delta.

If you want to achieve MQDs and MQMs on one trip:

Dec 26 - 28, AUS-ICN (via ATL), $1510, about 16,000 MQMs, $1408 MQDs, 38 hours in Seoul

Doing it in two trips:

Dec 26, AUS-OGG (via LAX), $685 (MC), 7300 MQMs, $609 MQDs, just over 1 hour in OGG, return to AUS early afternoon on Dec. 27
Dec 28, AUS-ATL-SLC-OGG-LAX-SLC-AUS, $837 (MC), about 9400 MQMs, $750, MQDs, 2 hours in OGG, return to AUS early afternoon on Dec 29

For the OGG runs, just use normal Delta search AUS-OGG using the same date for departure and return, select the desired routing

Dec 23, GRR-OGG (via DTW-SEA), $779, 10,100 MQMs, about 6 hours in OGG, get back to GRR late afternoon of Dec. 24

Delta.com search - GRR-OGG, same departure and return date, select routing GRR-DTW-SEA-OGG-SEA-DTW-GRR to get the MQMs quoted, other departure dates with similar prices available

What is your travel availability? e.g. are you willing to travel on Christmas day?

e.g. Dec 30, ATL-OGG, $737 (BE), about 10,800 MQMs (routing: atl--lax-slc-ogg-slc-lax-atl), about 1 hour in OGG, arrive back in ATL mid-afternoon Dec. 31

Use normal Delta flexible date search ATL-OGG with the same date for departure and return, select the desired routing

Departure Airport: WAS / SEA
Miles Needed: Delta 1900 MQD
Required Spend or Budget: $1500 (if possible)
Available Travel Dates: 12/12-15 or 12/17-20 or 12/30-31 from SEA

I'm 1900 MQD from Diamond status and have limited travel dates due to work schedule. Looking for a quick turnaround mileage run preferably from WAS 12/12-15 12/17-20 or SEA on 12/30-31.
Looking for Skymilles partner airlines to maximize MQD oppty.
(First post - thanks!)

Just short on MQDS. There was a thread on the Delta forum about someone who was few $ short and how they could get it. Buy SkyMiles select for $59 was a suggestion.

Dec 13, AeroMexico, DCA-MSP-MEX-ATL-BWI, $1077 (business class - books into fare class I), 6900 MQMs, $1860 MQDs, Aeromexico marketed Delta operated flights, bookable on Expedia (listed on Expedia as $1112 but reduced in price on checkout)

Hi @canuck_traveler thanks so much for the reply!
I'm curious ... how do you find the MQM/MQD calculations for these Aeromexico flights? That's my biggest challenge.

Business class fares on Aeromexico earn 40% MQD and 1.5x MQMs with Delta - see Delta webpage on partner earnings

Using Unofficial Skymiles Calculator for mileage flown for - DCA-MSP-MEX-ATL-BWI, you get 4651 miles. MQD = 4651 x 0.4 = 1860; MQM = 4651 x 1.5 = 6976 (rounded down to 6900 )

These are of course estimates as Delta determines the amounts you get (but are close enough.)
