For each request, please include the following information:
Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.
----
NOTE: You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.
Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----
*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")
NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
- signup bonuses for various DL-branded AMEX cards (usually have a spend requirement)
- if you already have planned travel, consider buying up (in advance, not at check in) for 50% MQM bonus and more flexible same-day-confirmed options which are another way to increase MQMs
- Hilton 250 MQMs per stay of 2 nights or more
- if you are close to a threshold Delta often will offer a buy-up (at exorbitant prices). 2016 thread, and speculation/anticipation thread for 2017

Last minute trip to LHR left me within reach of PLT. Likely Diamond next year, so hoping to find the cheapest way to secure the most miles (happy to roll a few over) between now and 12/31.
Departure Airport: ATL, or ~200mi drive
Miles Needed: 8,500
MQD Needed: $0
Required Spend or Budget: $900
Available Travel Dates: Dec 7th-22nd, 26th-31st.
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*: Just need MQMs, so codeshare should be ok

I only had 6 mo to get to Gold on Delta due to my move/new job/switching airlines and I would have made it but my SEA>SYD business trip ended up on AA for scheduling reasons. I do currently have Delta Gold thanks to my status match though.
Anyway, I'm 13,143 MQM short to get Gold for 2020 but have reached my MQD requirement. I do have to go to NYC on the 27th but not returning until 1/4 so will only get 2400 MQM out of that.
Wondering if I should just *cheat* and buy the 12,500 Delta MQM for $1599 at this point as I don't have many days available between now and my NYC trip. But I'm open to suggestions and any advice you may have.
Departure Airport: SEA
Miles Needed: 13,143-ish
Dollars Needed - $0 (MQD completed)
Required Spend or Budget: Up to $1599
Available Travel Dates: Dec 14, 15, 21, 22

For a "small" amount of MQDs, I would just fly Delta and maximize the amount of MQMs.
e.g. Dec 28, MIA-ATL-LAX-OGG-LAX-ATL-MIA, $722 (MC), about 10,000 MQMs, $633 MQDs, just over 1 hour in OGG, get back to MIA about 6pm on Dec. 29

Departure Airport:SAN
Miles Needed: 5000 MQM for Diamond
Required Spend or Budget: n/a
Available Travel Dates: DEC 25-DEC30
Recently moved to SAN from DTW but will rely on Delta for likely 5-7 East Coast trips and possibly a trip to Europe next year. I figured 5000 MQM was worth getting Diamond. Thoughts? Many thanks!
edit: Found a round trip SAN-ATL on Dec 26th both nonstop, 1st class for $1364, netting 5674 MQM. I'm a noob at this. Does this seem worth it? Thanks.

Dec 28, SAN-LAX-OGG-SLC-SAN, $349 (BE) / 419 (MC), about 6500 MQMs, 8 hours in OGG, arrive back in SAN midmorning on Dec. 29

Damn, you're good at this, although I couldn't find anything MC for $419, nor arriving in SAN in the AM. Best I see is $794, arriving 6pm on the 29th. I'm searching on Delta, should I be doing this differently? Huge thanks for the help!
edit: On Dec 26th I found SAN-LAX-OGG-LAX-SAN, 1 hr layover, arriving morning of 27th for $439, netting 5972 MQM. That's a ton better than my initial find lol. Thoughts?
