For each request, please include the following information:
Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Budget:
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares okay*:
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD.
----
NOTE: You will have greater chances of success if you have greater flexibility on travel dates and cost. If you need a lot of MQMs on weekends only for < 5 cpm it probably won't happen.
Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
----
*"Required Metal or Codeshares" is, approximately, asking whether you need a flight operated specifically by Delta or if partner flights are ok. If you are just looking for MQMs to hit a Medallion tier the normal way, then the answer is yes. If you are doing a status challenge, the answer is also probably yes, but read the T&C of your challenge carefully to be sure (for the regular status challenge the answer is also "yes")
NOTE: some partner flights earn MQMs at reduced rates. See this chart for more info.

Other creative possibilities depending how many MQMs you need:
- signup bonuses for various DL-branded AMEX cards (usually have a spend requirement)
- if you already have planned travel, consider buying up (in advance, not at check in) for 50% MQM bonus and more flexible same-day-confirmed options which are another way to increase MQMs
- Hilton 250 MQMs per stay of 2 nights or more
- if you are close to a threshold Delta often will offer a buy-up (at exorbitant prices). 2016 thread, and speculation/anticipation thread for 2017

Got the Delta Platinum Amex from Gold for the 5000MQMs. Currently in Mexico leaving on the 29th back home. 4k MQMs coming from this trip which I imagine the 4k mqms will be credited after the trip is completed, correct?
I have already earned gold, so now close to Platinum - never made it there before. According to my calcualations about 15,778 MQMS away .
Home Airport MSP
Flexible dates December 7 onward
Cost as cheap as possible, but willing to do a Biz class or shoot for a D1 if it works to do one run instead of multiples.
Suggestions?

Dec 17, MCI-ATL-LAS-ATL-MCI, $256, 4900 MQMs
Dec 18, MCI-ATL-MCI, $171, 1400 MQMs
If you would like to get the MQMs all in one trip, then the following is an option but it is above the $500 budget
Dec 9, MCI-OGG, $533 (BE), about 9500 MQMs, 5 hours in OGG, arrive back in MCI mid-afternoon on Dec. 10

I thought I understood the process, but maybe I don't. My husband is 16K MQM short on Delta to achieve Diamond. He can only fly this weekend. I thought his best bet was to fly LAX to Shanghai and return the next day.
Is there something easier to avoid massive jet lag?

e.g. LAX-ATL-SCL-ATL-LAX (Delta), LAX-MEX-SCL-MEX-SCL (Aeromexico) each is about 11,000 miles (so 16,000 MQMs in business), LAX-AMS-LAX is also about 11,000 miles
I believe Premium Economy on Aeromexico also gets 1.5x of miles flown - can someone confirm this?

If budget is not a consideration. He could fly business class to South America. Business earns 1.5x miles flown. To get 16,000 MQMs, he would have to fly about 11,000 MQMs. Will probably be more expensive than flying to Shanghai/Peking (I assume he has a Chinese visa?)

Hmmm, forgot about a visa for China. Budget is a consideration, so I was trying to stay under $1500 so I might tag along on the adventure. The non-stop flight to China was under $1000 so I thought that might be exhausting but interesting.

Dec 7, LAX-MSP-MCO-MSP-LAX, $438, 5700 MQMs
Dec 14, LAX-MSP-MCO-JFK-LAX, $378, 6200 MQMs
Dec 28, LAX-OGG-LAX, $332, 4900 MQMs
Oops ... sorry, mis-read that he can only travel on weekends instead of only this weekend
