For each request, please include the following information:
Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:
Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided.
If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

- Is $750 your required spend (indicating you needs $750 in PQD) or is that the maximum budget?
- Do you really want "UA Only", or will any codeshare that gives the 11K miles work for you?

750 is the max budget. It is for status match, so it needs to be UA only.
Thanks!

After projecting my travel for the rest of the year I will be shy of gold. My wife is actual supportive. I travel a lot in trans-Atlantic economy so the lounge access would be nice.
Departure Airport: EWR (but will travel a little for the right deal to PHL, JFK or LGA)
Miles Needed: ~8000
Required Spend or Budget: I will only need $200 PQD to hit the $6k threshold so really as low as possible over $200
Available Travel Dates: Anything really after mid September. I do have a trip the first week of December also.
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: UA would be best to add toward MM but I will take anything.

One of the trick flights in previous years is LGA-IAH-EWR-BQN and BQN-EWR-IAH-LGA for about $345. But United.com and United App does not give me the return trip. This trip would get you 8800 PQM. You may try to call United reservations to book it. An agent would be gladly waive the booking fees because you cannot book it yourself.
Good luck.

I have only had a problem directly on United.com. Google flights seems to have been okay. Lots of availibility.

If I upgrade one of the legs to First Class (after the booking is completed) on this itinerary, will I earn the extra PQMs?

Unless I'm mistaken, you will only earn additional PQMs (and PQSs), if you actually buy up to a different fare class, not just purchase an upgrade.
