Happy New Year!

Im trying to kick the year off with some lax sju mileage runs via EWR..
the connection time is less than an hrin sju-just to confirm is it the same plane that goes back again to ewr?
ie even if it is delayed its not a problem?
thanks

I am not collecting on UA, but on LH/M&M. I'm posting here as there is no dedicated M&M thread.

Departure Airport:
FRA
Miles Needed:
35000
Budget: ~
1500 EUR
Available Travel Dates:
11 March through 15 April
Required Metal or Codeshares okay:
Codeshares okay

I'm trying to make LH SEN this year. I am quite certain that I will fall short around 35k miles. I would like to use a vacation in March or April to get these miles. (So, it's not supposed to be a pure MR, but I'm willing to go for a more complicated routing to fly in those miles.) I would like to travel to South-East-Asia.

My best option so far seems to be a r/t FRA-DEL-BKK with AI in C. It yields the required miles and is relatively comfortable. Price would be 1600 EUR.

My question for you guys: Is this decent or do you see better options?

Also, does AI run sales as somewhat predictable intervals (i.e., what's the chance the ticket I'm considering gets cheaper)?

EDIT: I forgot to mention another option I'm considering. That would be flying 4U/EW to BKK in Premium Eco ("Best"). That would yield around 20k miles for 1000 EUR. The main advantage would be that I'd collect 20k select miles. Of course, going for 4U/EW now would necessite a MR for 15k miles later this year.

Hi everyone

Departure Airport: ZRH (possibly GVA or BSL)
Miles Needed: 40'000
Required Spend or Budget: 2'500 CHF/USD or less
Available Travel Dates: open in 2017 except May-August
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: ok

I'm with M&M at the moment but I can't get how I can get *A Gold with my current amnount of flying (less than 50k mostly on discount economy). So I thought of lloking at getting Gold with OZ which seems to be "attainable" reasonably quickly with 40'000 miles.

So I looked up some fares on ITA and stumbled upon the two below.

http://imgur.com/a/LX7N2

Overall it would earn about 44'000 miles (S legs on OZ earn 100% on Asiana Club and the LX legs earn 50% on Asiana Club). For a cost of about 2'900 CHF which would make the itinerary at about 6.5cpm which I'm pretty sure is beatable..? Any other route ideas or better fares?

I'm new to this subject so any thoughts/suggestions/feedback welcome !

Thanks

Ismail

I've found an itinerary that's in W for PHX-SFO-SIN, SIN-SFO-DEN-COS. The only legs I care about the GPU clearing is between SFO & SIN. Jan 22 - Jan 25.

I've never used a GPU before, so I'm looking for guideance on likelihood of clearing. Can someone give me some thoughts? SFO-SIN has J=9 and 24 seats showing unselected. SIN-SFO shows J-9 and 19 seats unselected. It's only 2 weeks out, so I'm hoping the probability is high... 1K status.

Many thanks!

Anyone? I will likely need two long trips to achieve this. At least for status matching I don't have to hit the minimum spending.
