For each request, please include the following information:

Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:

Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?

For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided.

If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

I'm United Gold right now. I'm 2 segments from hitting Platinum for 2019. Trying to figure out the cheapest way to nail down these last 2 segments before 12/31. I'm 5k miles short, so segments are the way to go! Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
Best option I see before 12/31 is DEN-PDX on 12/30 for $347. Unfortunately, it has a 6 hour turn in PDX, but you might be able to SDC the return to something sooner (there are flight options that could give you a 1 hr turn, 2.5 hr turn, etc). If you want to risk flying on 12/31, DEN-LAS for $261 seems to be the cheapest option I can find.

How about:

Dec 31, DEN-BFF, $149
Dec 26,27,28,29,30 or 31, DEN-VEL, $197
Dec 30 or 31, DEN-RKS, $202
Dec 31, DEN-LAR, $204

A cheap one just popped up!

In case you also think the last day of the year is a bad idea, you can do $303-309 DEN-BFF/LAR/PUB on Fri.

UPDATE: I like mpoitrow's suggestions of CNY and LBL, since they are both ~1 hr turns. Some of these smaller airports (where the terminal is the same size as the fire station) may dump you landside, where you need to clear security again. Without Pre-Check, of course. So I would feel safer with some time on those turns. BFF may (or may not) be airside, you can't tell from the aerial photos.

Found a better option...DEN-CNY on 12/28 for $147. The flight is available twice per day (each with ~1 hr turn in Moab) in either the morning or afternoon/evening. It's available on each of the dates you mentioned for the same price, if one of those days works better for you than another.

Or DEN-LBL on 12/28 for $139 (also available 12/30, or 12/31).

A little short on PQD, but you should be able to up-fare this:

Still going strong after Christmas!

You two are working overtime.
I cannot check google flight right now if I want to. Sadly, Google has not returned to China. I have to use Baidu for search while in China.Enjoy the rest of the holiday season.

First-timer here! Also open to going for gold for 28,881 PQM (ok on PQD). Appreciate any help!
Welcome to Flyertalk! And thanks for using the form.

Unfortunately, it's very slim pickings this late in the year. Best I can find is:

UA:$554 IAH-ONT 3996PQM (actual miles)
Mon 31 Dec IAH-SFO-ONT-SFO-IAH
Link: https://goo.gl/flights/bufK1

UA:$556 IAH-BUR 3922PQM (actual miles)
Mon 31 Dec IAH-SFO-BUR-SFO-IAH

Or pay a few bucks more:

UA:$637 IAH-DTW in First 4304PQM
Mon 31 Dec IAH-DTW-IAH
(4h51m in DTW)
Link: https://goo.gl/flights/UqhzE

I tend to think this is a bit much to pay to get Silver status.

Hi all - New to the Forum and hoping to gain some insight. I'm looking to combine a mileage run to start the year while using my 2 remaining GPUs. Anyone aware of any routes to Europe / South America that would accomplish that? Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays and New Years to all!

*A: Need 6,389 PQM on UA, ex Berlin

Hi Community,

I'm missing 6,389 premier qualifying miles on United to maintain my status. Codeshares are okay. Can fly out of BER, Airport codes are TXL or SXF.
Travel dates are 12/30 or 12/31. Any suggestions? As cheap as possible please

Thanks,
FTDDD

In order to have GPUs cleared at booking, you need to find PZ spaces for your overwater segment and book at W booking class; for example, for ORD-EWR-XXX, you search for PZ spaces of EWR-XXX or ORD-XXX if United has nonstop from ORD to XXX. It is a tedious process to find PZ spaces. It will take a lot of time to find ones for your desired dates. If your dates are flexible, it is easier to do; for example, ORD-HKG nonstop for Jan. 26-28 with PZ spaces and a few dollars under your budget ($1175 for W Class). Good luck.
Edit: If you are re-qualified for 1K, you can call 1K line to extend your two GPUs until April 30, 2019. Otherwise, you will have to apply them for travel before the end of January, 2019.
