CY bonus bucks quest on the M11 rate

what type of $50 bonus buck is given? I mean what are the T&C's of its use? I've never had one of these and the local CY has $59 (65 all inc) rates but you get a $50 BB in return so in theory i'd get a stay credit, megabonus promo credit, free b/f all for $15 bucks.. sounds too good to be true

It's true!

Same T&C as $100 BB. except $50 is not valid at FS Marriott's.

CY Toronto Airport had a $109 rate with a $100 BB per night! = $9 a night ^

thanks

and I just found this in search

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=409015

although this thread says you can use it at FS marriotts.. granted the thread is 3 years old so things may have changed.

One question, does use of these have to be on weekends or can they be during week night stays?

You can only use the 100 BB at Full Service Marriott's.

Unless it says "Weekend Bonus Bucks" you can use it any day of the week. There are some that are good for weekends only. You might want to confirm with the property which one they are offering.

imverge - you have more luck than anyone I know with bargain rates! A COURTYARD that was willing to take (or give!) a $100 BB ....... unheard of!

TrojanHorse --

I would call the hotel and ask them to read it and advise you for there are different conditions that have popped up from time to time.

With respect to FS Marriotts/Renaissances, those bucks have only been good at FS properties, but the reverse has not always been true.

Please report your findings. :)

one more quick question

assuming that these are the types that can be used at CY's etc

Can I stay one night, get one, then turn around and use it again the next stay in effect reducing my OOP outlay to $9?

eg.. stay this Friday for $59 get BB
stay the following friday for $9 net of BB.. and keep the process rolling forward as long as I can?

sophiegirl Mar 24, 2008 5:52 am

It depends on how the $59. rate is coded within Marriott system. If it is a publicly available rate, then yes. If it is an MR rate, then technically, no.

The easiest way to tell is to log onto the marriott website without signing in and look at the rates for the hotel in question. If the rate appears, it is a public rate and you can roll it over as long as it lasts. If it only appears when you put in your MR number, then it is considered a "members only" rate, and the is against the BB official T&C's.

This does not mean the hotel won't accept it, but they are not required to do so. Reading other threads on this Forum show about a 50/50 acceptance rate on "members only" rates. (which obviously also include corporate rates, AAA, etc)

OK English was not her native tongue but

she had no clue about the Bonus Bucks

so I have her pull one out and basically she says (or at least in my translation of her words) that I can use it at any Marriott property and there is not a two night requirement for the $50 BB's..

I'll try it once and then post the T&C's myself

I know she didn't fully understand it b/c she told me that I could use it for the stay that I was checking in on. Which I find hard to believe but then again I've heard of more bizarre things on FT as well :D

hhoope01 Mar 24, 2008 7:52 am

Late last year, I stayed at the Auburn Hills, MI CY on an M11 rate and received a $50 BB. That one was usable at non-FS Marriotts on any 2-night stay (assuming the stay was with a public rate of course.)
