Hard to tell why but it could be all sorts of reasons. Vanilla locked the card, to many swipes, bad machine... Those have all happened to me.

Hi, I'm quoting this from the buying MO at WM thread maybe it can help or the info is outdated?

"Tested Gebit (gift debit) cards:
1. DO NOT WORK - Any Vanilla product affiliated with InComm or ITC Financial Services will not work for swipes over $49.99."

2 weeks ago was able to load with a single visa meta $500 (1 slide)
last week tried to load with visa meta $500 but payment decline reason 56. CSR tried $400 n went thru. 2nd slide tried with $100 declined 56 (tried multiple cards).
this week tried $400 decline reason 56. Tried $99 went thru.
anyone know whats going on? Do i just get lucky with $500 single slide load?

The MB BHN $500 is from Staples only, not sold anywhere else to my knowledge. You're talking about this card right?

Has anyone had luck with the $200 Staples Pathward cards lately? Tried this week @ WM and it was declined.

This one is serviced by BHN and it's limit to <$99 per swipe at the Money Center.

and you're doing this by registering the VGC and setting a pin? Correct?

I believe that the old name for PW was Metabank. Both are banks serviced by BHN and the servicer is the issue, not the bank.
