The cashier's drawer was $500 short for the night. This has happened to me on a number of occasions and always brought it to the cashier's attention so that it could be corrected. I don't want to burn any bridges.

Yes, the drawer should open, which is what always clues me in to the error.

WM1 carries giftcard but will not let me buy and load.
WM2 stopped selling VGC but will let me load. I have been able to buy VGC from other places in the area limited to 500 per day per store.
MS is in the last phase in my area anyway. One card doesnt seem to be any good.

Either you discovered a free $500 money glitch.....or you will likely cost a cashier their job and burn a WM for MS. Wonder which is more likely 🤔

This error has nothing to do with the discover loading. It was simply because the inexperienced or careless cashier pressed the "cash" button or the button to finish the transaction instead of the "card" button. It mostly happens with the split payment transactions when the cashier is distracted and confused by the multiple steps she/he is not used to, but it can actually happen to any transactions at any stores with either split payment or not. I have had this happened at Staples with split payments and at Family Dollar with single payment. After the customer leaves the store, it is the cashier's responsibility to make the balance even for the cash in the drawer at the end of the day, and it can also cost the cashier's job. Whenever this happened to me at a store, I knew this store had a good chance to get restricted (one or two swipe only) or be totally burnt sooner or later, simply because if this happened once, it meant the manager had not learnt the hard lesson and trained the cashier enough, and it can happen twice, thrice. For me, it was stealing if I did not pay the money, but some other people may think otherwise and simply walk away. It is just a personal choice.

Tried to load $700 the other day, account was accepted, split payment with a $500 and a $200 InComm card went through, but at the very end the screen went to the Walmart logo and reversed the entire thing. Is loading above $500 unreliable? Only loaded 3 times this month, for $200, $500, and $500 at the beginning of the month.

one time i buy 3K GC at the self checkout where I'm not supposed to buy( they told me not to) , the CSR in the self check out comes running as she can see the transaction amount, I immidiately insert my card knowing she is going to cancel the transaction, she screams, take out the card, take out the card, i told you before not buy GCs. I say what's matter? I just wanted to delay it by few seconds knowing the transaction will be completed by then, which it did. She was furious, I said manager told me I could and left the station. lol. quite few stories.

Now you are just trolling and if you are not I really hope any others in your area are not shut down at that WM
