I have a Pathward issued MCGC, servicer is Incomm and BIN is 52536210. This card doesn't work to pay a utility bill (Speedpay), get a 'Declined - Security Policy' in the transaction history. I'm wondering what variable is key here or if there are DPs available around what works? E.g. if I use a Sutton MCGC, also Incomm, is that likely to not work with Speedpay either? Do VGCs have better acceptance? Interestingly, this card doesn't work for Speedpay gas bill, but does work for Speedpay electric (different providers).

Try for less than full amount.

Told them I buy things at estate sales and sell/flip them on FB marketplace and load the money at Walmart. They didn't ask any hard questions or make any accusations, and were very pleasant. Call took less than 8 minutes. I'm actually doing far less loading these days than years past so I'm not worried.

What kind of volume were you doing to trigger the call? I’m curious if you don’t mind me asking.

Between $3500-$5K a month when I'm active, but some months I don't even load anything. I was doing 8-10K a month last year when they contacted me so definitely not an increase in volume that triggered it.

Sorry, should have added, I tried a few different amounts, full, not full, didn't matter.

Will test it out with a different gift card. Hopefully something will work.

These OD/OM Mastercards 511332 BIN declined for a full swipe and got me an error code F9. Is that pathward blocking it or is it Walmart? I did it the other day but now all of a sudden it doesn't go through. Ill try 198 / 99 tomorrow

Pathward mcgc never worked for me at Walmart here, even less than full.

The everywhere cards (49127) work but each store has their own velocity limit.

True. I'll continue at normal pace and see what happens. P2 has an account I can move to if the ban hammer hits.

Are you talking about Pathward mcgc or Pathward vcgc. In my area the Pathward mcgc doesn’t work at Walmart but works at Kroger as long as <$470. I don’t touch any Pathward vcgc except for everywhere cards because they work at Walmart (they don’t work at Kroger though).

yes mcgc is not reliable though unless i load ONE at SCO. the MC is still 99 and regular registers can be full swipes on a good day

I avoid Pathmarks like the plague.

I'm sure you meant Pathward, but Pathmark brings back fond memories. I used to buy $2k MCGCs at the register and walk immediately over to the customer service desk and buy Western Union money orders. I did at least $10k/wk for 2 or 3 years until the Pathmark by me went out of business.
