If the benefits you derived from buying the Meijer's card on sale were greater than the fee, then using the card as it was intended to buy things will still be a net positive to you.

There is a dearth of DPs from Meijer's Sunrise cards because I suspect most experienced MSers avoid them due to their difficulty in being monetized. You can try using them to load a One or Discover account, or even try and buy another type of GC (Vanilla, etc.) I would simply suggest avoiding them in the future, and chalk it up to an inexpensive learning experience.

appreciate the insight. I needed someone to frame it to me like that.

i had a 2nd card from Meijer that I just ended up using as a Q4 estimated tax payment. I’ll prob only buy those Meijer cards moving forward for personal use.

...

Thanks.
That webpage does not make it clear that people can enter multiple gift card numbers.

Double check this thread + datapoints to make sure your card can be done for a full swipe and isnt limited to 99/swipe

Also you can just say a load for $1000 and split the payment to be 500 each swipe if you think cashier is competent and wont get suspicious. or dont, lol.

Also you insert the discover, enter zipcode, tell them amount to load, swipe card, press no cashback, enter gc pin, repeat

I just wanted to mention that I had no issue draining both of those $500 GCs today, it was very easy!

Unfortunately, Paypal stopped that 20% cash back offer a week early.

Can you add your datapoint to the sheet?

Yes, I just added it. I don't know how to figure out the issuer, so I just picked Sutton (since the other similar BINs were Sutton)

What does Flavor mean in the DP?

Purchased a Visa gift card issued by Pathward and serviced by BHN. How do I find out the Flavor? Does it mean which store I purchased the card from or something else?

Usually it means what you wrote, BHN. And the Bank ID # (BIN), which is the first 6 digits of the card.

Vanilla, a brand of VGC, usually seen with an ice cream cone on the face of the packaging.

I've been counting on VGC loads for years, but as some have mentioned, all the new SS cards seem to be MCs (and those higher fees). I haven't had to deal with MCVGCs at WM in years (FD was too easy). MCGCs used to be problematic with tricks to get them to run as debit. Is this still a thing or are they as simple now as VGCs. I've got 2 of the BIN's you've mentioned and want to go in with the right mindset. TIA.

Thank you very much. I purchased a VGC from Staples and I don't see it being Vanilla but it is also not Everywhere or 5 Back I believe. Am wondering if someone could help me find the flavor of this card? The first six are 435880. I see Pathward and BHN on packaging.

In the DP form, some people mention ODOM/5 back as the flavor. If someone knows what ODOM means, please lmk.
