Thank you very much. I purchased a VGC from Staples and I don't see it being Vanilla but it is also not Everywhere or 5 Back I believe. Am wondering if someone could help me find the flavor of this card? The first six are 435880. I see Pathward and BHN on packaging.

In the DP form, some people mention ODOM/5 back as the flavor. If someone knows what ODOM means, please lmk.

Office Depot / Office Max. Sounds like that's what you have. My yellow 200 cards all have that BIN. Not the 5 back tho ... that's something different.

Staples 435880 $200 VGC will work for full amount at a WM cashier to load either One or Serve card.
It didn't work for me at the CSC for either $200 or $99 load to One card, nor did it work at FD to load a Amex or Visa BB card.

The WM I use has new, non-70 code cash registers at the cashier line but the old 70 code registers at the CSC.

Is there no any practical way to load a BB card without paying a fee with a GC?

Thank you. Do you know which stores sell these SS cards? I am finding it difficult to find the flavor of my Staples golden color $200 no fee VGC. It is neither SS, Vanilla nor everywhere I believe.

I have purchased SS Visas from Sheetz before (if you have them in your area).

In our area:
Hannaford (grocery/supermarket) sells the SS Mastercard with an $8.95 fee
Dollar Tree sells the SS Visa with the $5.95 fee
We have a 7-eleven but I haven't been in there yet.

I never have luck with the Staples $200 ones that go on sale (they're wiped out by the time I get there) so I have no idea who they are serviced by or issued by.
I know there's a Vanilla BHN card that I believe Price Chopper/Market 32 (a competing grocery chain) sells and I can only liquidate those at like $95 at a time at Walmart, so I avoid those.

Depends on where you are located.

The Staples $200 no-fee VGC is issued by Pathward and serviced by Blackhawk Network.
This information is in the small print on the back of the gift card.
Read up about BHN elsewhere in these forums.

I'm quite certain the error slip you got (assuming error 63) was for that transaction. Same thing is occurring to me. Giftcard shows reversal, but discover shows load. This was also on the 16th. On the 12th, I did 2 loads (Received correct receipts for them) but my discover shows 3 loads and credited all 3.

I don't have the slip for this transaction where the money went into my Discover checking on the afternoon of Oct 16 (Thursday) and is still there as of Oct 18 (Saturday).
The money also went back to the MCGC.
super weird.

An easy bank bonus for sure even if you have to pay tax on the $600. :)

Choice gift card

1] I have a Discover Cashback Debit card, which appears to be the correct account type for this.
2] I bought 2x $1250 "Your Choice Gift Card" from topcashback to take advantage of the Paypal 20% promos. With those, I bought 5x $500 Vanilla Gift cards. I got this gift cards in the mail, they were sent by InComm and are BIN 411810.
3] All I have to do is go the Money Center counter, tell them I want to load my Discover Checking Account, tap the cart to the terminal, and then tell them I want to load $500 (repeat a second time for 2x a day), then swipe my card, and it should work? Anything I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

What type of choice card can buy vanilla gift card? That is unheard of. I thought the only selections are the store gift cards that are listed on the choice card. Is that not true?

Two other events have occurred with the above.

First, WM is now short $600 and trust me, they will know where and when the event happened, The person who is paying for this the cashier who took your money (GC). Why don't you check and see if they are still employed at the WM you did your transaction.

The second bad thing for you is that your account both at WM and at Discover now have human eyes tracking it. In our game, we never want human eyes tracking our transactions.

There are a number of DPs where transactions went south for WM, but the person benefiting from it went back and returned the money. However, TBH, since several months have passed, I suspect this option is out.
Enjoy your Christmas bonus :)

Walmart is not short $600.
Walmart was merely the transfering agent between the issuer of the gift card and Discover Bank.
The gift card(s) have the value.

It also has NOTHING to do with the employee.
The employee was told by the IT system that the transaction did not go through.
The error slip that printed out said so.
That is a fact.
That employee did nothing wrong. They followed the procedure.

For some reason the IT system glitched.
Discover/CapitalOne should try to figure why the system glitched.
They likely know what happened, but they certainly aren't going to tell us.

You may be correct that this glitch which we are not responsible for
brought eyes to what we are doing.
If so, it is what it is.
It is not as if we deliberately did this to gain the "bonus".

I bought Vanilla Gift Cards (Sutton) from "Your Choice Gift Card" that I got from Topcashsback gift cards. It was a roundabout method, and it took me 3 trips to WalMart, but it was relatively easy. I successfully liquidated $2500 worth of those Vanilla gift cards -> Discover at walmart. Overall profit was around $750 after all was said and done.
