Any DPs for 500 cards?

TIL that a card can get blacklisted from Walmart. And BHN can also flag a store for "scamming"
I hate 435880s, so lately when that's all OD has then i use them to buy $500 InComm GCs. Over the last two days 1 of the 435880s instantly kept declining when purchasing anything at Walmart. GCs and bananas. A different failure than when you enter a pin and it cannot be taken, this was just instant decline after swipe. Today i called and the rep said that he sees that this card doesn't have restrictions and the only transaction was one from yesterday. I wonder if i accidentally hit cashback yesterday or something after entering pin because he said the transaction looked like a money exchange thing. He says he does see some info that this particular branch of Walmart has been flagged because of higher rates of scamming. He said try a different branch or store. I tried a different Walmart and same instant decline happened. I went to safeway later for a MO using trusted 5113s and used the 435880 to buy some food from the hot bar. Worked for ≈$4. Tomorrow I'll try buying a $500 gift card from Safeway with the 435880 to see if it's a problem with this card for any gift card purchases or if it was just walmart purchases. Just a pain because split tender can only be done with a cashier. |

I don't even think those are in circulation anymore, only place I have seen them is Sam's and it's probably old stock. This year all stores getting new cards replaced them to SS MC

There are indeed SS cards still around, now in Mastercard format with same higher fees as the rest. There's no functional advantage to using them.

So I've never done this before, but I've read a lot of the discussion so I think I understand the process. I just wanted to confirm before going out for the trek
1] I have a Discover Cashback Debit card, which appears to be the correct account type for this. 2] I bought 2x $1250 "Your Choice Gift Card" from topcashback to take advantage of the Paypal 20% promos. With those, I bought 5x $500 Vanilla Gift cards. I got this gift cards in the mail, they were sent by InComm and are BIN 411810. 3] All I have to do is go the Money Center counter, tell them I want to load my Discover Checking Account, tap the cart to the terminal, and then tell them I want to load $500 (repeat a second time for 2x a day), then swipe my card, and it should work? Anything I'm missing? Thanks in advance! |

Also you insert the discover, enter zipcode, tell them amount to load, swipe card, press no cashback, enter gc pin, repeat |

Double check this thread + datapoints to make sure your card can be done for a full swipe and isnt limited to 99/swipe

Do we know the BIN of the Incomm cards bought from the YCC cards from TopCashback?

Yes, that's what I did, and you can add multiple cards on the redemption site.
Does it automatically add them up somewhere? |
Bought a $500 VGC from the Meijer sale. They are Sunrise cards from BHN. These things are a pain in the .... BIN is <!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->403446. Tried a $499 Walmart load because there was a DP from a year ago that had success, but it did not work.
I also tried the card a few times on my credit union's website to do a debit payment towards my mortgage, but it's like finding gold trying to find a VGC that works there. Eventually I did do a full $500 swipe to pay towards my energy bill (which already takes CC anyways so was kinda a net-neutral) to prove that the card was still working. I have another $500 but no idea what to do with it. I already tried a $480 MO at Kroger last time Meijer had a similar promo and it didnt work. Very frustrating! |

There is a dearth of DPs from Meijer's Sunrise cards because I suspect most experienced MSers avoid them due to their difficulty in being monetized. You can try using them to load a One or Discover account, or even try and buy another type of GC (Vanilla, etc.) I would simply suggest avoiding them in the future, and chalk it up to an inexpensive learning experience. |
