Because I am lazy. Since it is the same amount each month, it makes it much easier to budget the MS I can churn with Evolve. And it removes the steps of receiving and checking my bill each month. I previously had all bills on autopay, so I literally spent zero time paying utility bills. The MS gain from the utility bills is pretty small so Evolve is on the cusp of not being worth it if you think time is money.

Actually my payment was returned by provident due to insufficient funding.

Is your mortgage over $1000 dollars? If so did the amount you paid end up getting paid over the course of two days?

What time does the daily $1000 limit reset? I made $1000 in payments at 11 pm PST and it was listed as 5/16. Then I tried again a little after midnight but it says I reached my limit.

I tried again 6:30am PST this morning and it had reset as a new day. So I know the calendar changes sometime between 12:30am and 6:30am. I often stay up date and would like to do 2 days at once when possible. That's what I would do with BB loads when I had access to VR. The reset time for that was 9pm PST.

Yes, we've been paying National Grid bills since Feb. No problems.

Then I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've managed to pay mortgage and electric successfully but gas keeps getting returned for some reason. I've deleted it, re added and resubmitted again hopefully that'll work

Work around for duplicate payment issue

I avoid the duplicate payment issue without waiting by dividing each gift card into 2 payments. For example, I'll pay 5 $200 GC as follows: $200, $190, $10, $180, $20, $170, $30, $160, $40. Payments go through without any waiting.

I do $200, $199.99, then wait 5-10 min before repeating that cycle. I'm not sure I need to wait following the $199.99 payment, but I'd rather not take the chance and get stuck with another 1 week hold. I did a $199.98 payment the today because I was impatient.

My mortgage monthly is over 2k. I didn't try the weekend trick. Only meant to pay down some principle before the monthly due day.

When you enter National Grid USA as the payee, another screen should come up with about 20 different addresses for them. Make sure the one you select matches the payment address on your bill. And enter your account number without dashes. I just set National Grid up today and paid my first bill.

I live in EST. Made 5 payments prior to midnight EST. It's already 330AM EST (past midnight PST) and still has not reset the daily limit

You need to account for daylight savings. The clock resets at midnight PST not PDT.

You can also make duplicate accounts to bypass the $1K a day limit. Just need to use a different email address. Adding username+1(+2, +3, etc.)@gmail if you have gmail works for them as a different address. That's what I use for my duplicate accounts.

You also don't have to wait to the weekend. Any payments made Thursday after business hours through Sunday post on Monday.

There is at least 1 person who has had their payee account banned for using multiple accounts.
