Did you ever get an answer? I'm debating trying this myself with Evolve. I tried to pay my mortgage in 2 pieces once. They counted both payments as principal payments though...

Most incompetent bank I've ever tried to deal with. Wouldn't mess with them unless you want them blaming you for everything that goes wrong in the world for the next 5 years. They seem incapable of handling anything correctly.

They bought my mortgage. Nothing I can do since I have an awesome rate that I can't match anywhere right now :/

The Evolve website is now saying that my JH (Jackson Hewitt) Preferred Card is not a debit card (I have used it in the past). Any one else running into this problem?

    Later on Wednesday, the payment on Evolve clicked over to "Delivered". (I don't think it means anything, but I thought it was interesting that they were not in sync, and that Evolve changed status later.)
  • On Thursday, about 0715 PDT, I got another "payment received" from Chase. This one showed the $8xx.yy, but under the detail, it showed the combined total correctly apportioned:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...y.png~original
    ...and (strangely) an additional line of a $0.00 payment, also dated today.

Note, FWIW, that I didn't contact anybody before, during, or after -- not Chase, not Evolve. It all just worked.

Mortgage, water, power, and gym are the four monthly bills I have that won't directly bill credit cards; the first three are on Evolve, and I've sent them the gym's info -- if this works out (to include the billers correctly not pulling an autopay on the due date) I'll keep doing it.

Works the exact same for me.

Seems to me like Penfed is a dead end. People keep asking about it in this thread, people keep saying they ask Evolve to have it added, and it never is. *shrug*

Worked for 5 payments, but since Wed 5/22, I have been getting System Error e723.

Method:
MC AAEx x 5 payments up to $3k worked
Same card does not work with bills that worked before
Haven't tried any prepaids.

Anyone know what this error is?

yea i think i read your story earlier on in the evolve thread :) Ive been using evolve for WF basically since WF was allowed (mine was NOT one of the ones they gave at the beginning of evolve that had to start with numbers XXXX or whatever - so it wasnt initially available) I liquidate a lot of cards through it towards my princpal (we are paying it off early anyway), so I put a bunch through on a weekly basis. Not sure exactly what happened with your unapplied funds just hanging there. The first time I did it, it hung for about three days and then applied to principal, since then it has not hung for more than a day and has either applied to principal or payment depending on how much of a payment I made. If I pay after my full payment is made and before the payment was officially due, it goes straight to principal without hanging at all. Perhaps it depends on the mortgage?!

yea, it looks like paying with a CC is dead, mine is not working anymore either, but my debit cards are.

I reported this in post #736 (April). I reported it to evolve, no fix, and eventually I closed the card anyway.

Anybody have any experience paying AAA home insurance?

I tried paying via the Automobile Club Interinsurance Exchange payee, but it wouldn't accept my policy number for the account.

Does anyone know if Evolve is just a pass-through, or if it takes possession of our money before paying a bill? It seems to taking 4-6 days for a payment to post to a bank loan I have been paying with it. I'm a little concerned about having money in transit if Evolve were to go bankrupt, insolvent, etc. If it is just a pass-through and Evolve never holds the funds, then perhaps there is less cause for concern. Also, there isn't FDIC or other federal insurance on our funds, is there?

I'm more concerned that the delay is due to manual handling, which may lead to a phone call from a friendly banker telling me to quit it or we're returning your payments from now on. The delay is inconsistent for my bank, so it's a good sign that there is some manual handling with every single payment from Evolve.
