Did you ever get an answer? I'm debating trying this myself with Evolve. I tried to pay my mortgage in 2 pieces once. They counted both payments as principal payments though...

Most incompetent bank I've ever tried to deal with. Wouldn't mess with them unless you want them blaming you for everything that goes wrong in the world for the next 5 years. They seem incapable of handling anything correctly.

Any luck or tips with evolve and penfed? I don't see them on the list and sent them and email but got back a confusing reply...

The Evolve website is now saying that my JH (Jackson Hewitt) Preferred Card is not a debit card (I have used it in the past). Any one else running into this problem?

My experience with Chase: I hadn't read the weekend-timing-to-consolidate-payments posts yet, and it worked out for me anyway.
First off, my mortgage servicing paperwork just says "Chase". Not JPMorgan Chase, etc. Given how poor the Evolve search engine is, that had me a bit tentative as well. (Short version: it worked.) My total mortgage payment is $1,7xx.yy; my due date is the 1st; I'm on autopay from my checking.
Note, FWIW, that I didn't contact anybody before, during, or after -- not Chase, not Evolve. It all just worked. Mortgage, water, power, and gym are the four monthly bills I have that won't directly bill credit cards; the first three are on Evolve, and I've sent them the gym's info -- if this works out (to include the billers correctly not pulling an autopay on the due date) I'll keep doing it. |

Worked for 5 payments, but since Wed 5/22, I have been getting System Error e723.
Method: MC AAEx x 5 payments up to $3k worked Same card does not work with bills that worked before Haven't tried any prepaids. Anyone know what this error is? |

My experience with WF is different. After my first Evolve payment went into unapplied funds and hung there, I called WF and had them make the adjustment to cover my payment. I told them I would be paying this way in the future, and they suggested a "work order" that would be attached to my account. This work order states that when my unapplied funds balance hits my payment amount, they move all unapplied funds to cover my payment. This approach has worked perfectly for a couple months now. I pay over two days, when my final payments hits they move the money automatically and immediately. I am sub $2k on my payment. If I was over $3k, particularly with Evolve cracking down on multiple accounts used to pay the same bill, I would just pay over four days. I also pay after the due date. When we initially set up my ACH from my bank, WF actually suggested something like the 7th for the pull, despite my payment being due on the 1st. Never had a problem with that over years and years of history with them.

Anybody have any experience paying AAA home insurance?
I tried paying via the Automobile Club Interinsurance Exchange payee, but it wouldn't accept my policy number for the account. |
Does anyone know if Evolve is just a pass-through, or if it takes possession of our money before paying a bill? It seems to taking 4-6 days for a payment to post to a bank loan I have been paying with it. I'm a little concerned about having money in transit if Evolve were to go bankrupt, insolvent, etc. If it is just a pass-through and Evolve never holds the funds, then perhaps there is less cause for concern. Also, there isn't FDIC or other federal insurance on our funds, is there?
