It seems as though MC cards are working whereas Visa cards are not. It'll be interesting to see if these do code as cash advances. I might try taking one for the team and trying it out on my US Airways MC.

My guess is, by the time you get a solid answer, the ability to use a non-debit MC will no longer be available.

Also the possibility of you being able to get the fee removed by arguing that you thought it would code as a purchase. I did this with Citi once when there was a mistake. :p

I assume most on here know already, but if you have been paying gas or electric at your property for more than a year - most utilities allow you to get on the budget plan. They take your average monthly use and make that your monthly payment amount (gets adjusted on the anniversary if you run high/low). For me this makes Evolve MUCH more attractive for utility payments.

;-)

Since our friend MMS has spilled the beans to the masses....I tried this on May 7th on Arrival card and it posted as a purchase...no CA fee and I got points for the purchase.

I mentioned this detail to those who PMed me earlier...

Someone already stated that they had no problems using this on Arrival but just fyi, you can always call and have your CA set to $0 (or maybe it was $1). I have done it on this card.

Any luck with Chase cards or just Arrival?

I really don't think that's accurate.

What the common theme here has been is that MCs work, Visas don't.

Who posted about a CA fee?

don't have mortgage or student loans. i have comcast internet and cable bill but i use my chase ink card for this. Evolve doesn't work to pay credit card bills, so I guess EVOLVE is useless for me?

Not every opportunity works for each of us.
