Great! I will be following that pattern as well for my WF mortage! Although if it doesnt post on the same day and the money is applied only to principle, a quick email throught WF "Contact Us" page solved the issue.

FWIW, I used Evolve for the first time with my WF mortgage last month. Its above 2k so had to do payments over 2-3 days. Their response to my email request asking them to apply to standard payment was "Well do it for you this time, but don't make a habit of doing this please."

Not sure if Im the only one who's had that type of feedback.

Well, they have done it twice for me, but did suggest I pay through their wonderful portal (via ACH I guess). If only evolve allowed a memo field.

Has anyone successfully gotten Evolve to add a new payee that did not previously exist in their database of payees?

I have a mortgage at a regional bank which is not a current Evolve payee. Wondering how, if at all possible, one can lobby Evolve to add said bank. Maybe if I enlist all of FT members to request this bank... :D

Easy. Go to there website and there's a link there to send an email to add the bank. Easy, peesy. Plus they are fast to respond. I asked to have my HOA added but it turned out that it was already there under a broader HOA name.

I asked to have the biller for my property insurance added and they replied back that they may eventually add it. That was almost 3 weeks ago and still not there...

Good luck with that. Tons of requests have gone in for Penfed with nothing yet. Sometimes they're really quick about it and can get it done in less than a week. Other times it just never happens.

Part of it may have to do with the company too. More than likely, the company has to agree to being added to Evolve. If the company delays with that, that can delay Evolve.

I can't speak from personal experience as my HOA was already there but it was easy to make the request and they were fast to respond.

Citi Mortgage Payment

Quick data point, as I did not see any info here on Citi Mortgage Payments. I made payments Saturday and Sunday, all were delivered 5/6/14. I made the payments so the total paid was my exact mortgage payment. My payments were applied to principal and not the monthly payment due.

I sent Citi an email and they corrected this, however I got the impression that it may not happen again if I tried. I'm thinking I may give it a shot next month though.;)

I've skimmed through this thread and it appears that it is generally believed that credit cards cannot be used to make a payment with Evolve? Or has that changed recently? Just curious since I used my Barclays Arrival card to make a payment yesterday and it was accepted. But after reading more on the thread I was expecting the payment to eventually be canceled but after just checking my Evolve account and my payee account, the payment was completed without a problem. Is this just a fluke or are credit cards accepted now? New to Evolve so maybe cc's have always been accepted?

Beta testing. Nothing to see here.

Where did you enter your Barclays Arrival CC number? Under the debit card option? All that means is that you did a cash advance - which is very expensive. Not a good idea.

Does anyone have experience paying Dovenmuehle Mortgage and how they handle multiple payments? I *just* realized they are my "subservicer" and they are listed on Evolve. Trying a $1 test payment right now.

Ahhh. I just noticed that. Figured there was something more to it. Where were you yesterday? (Guess I should learn to study these things out a little better before I pull the trigger.)
But thanks.

I have made payments through Evolve to them and they combine partial payments towards your monthly payment. I do this over 2 days and make sure the total partial payments add up to my current monthly payment. The mortgage serviced by Dovenmuehle that I have has a note on the paper statement that explains how they handle partial payments. My $1 test payment was applied to principal.

njdealguy May 8, 2014 2:42 pm

Have anyone had a experience with mortgage companies refusing to change the applied to principal payments to the due monthly payment, this causing a double payment forced? I havent read any such case but am a bit nervous about that scenerio coming up, do you think that risk may exist?
