My payment to Flagstar bank failed today. I called customer service for the reason for failure. He told me that the account is rejected. And he said that he would open a ticket to investigate.
It seems that Flagstar rejects the payment from evolve. So the problem might be on the payee side. I guess my bank doesn't like me to prepay my mortgage. Have to wait and see what would happen. |

Hi all, I've done a lot of reading on this thread and i'm just trying to wrap my head around this. A quick question if I may:
It sounds like the main differences between Evolve and BB (and/or Serve) are that you cannot pay CC bills on Evolve while you can on BB. Also, BB has a much wider billpay range because you can essentially name anybody as opposed to Evolve, where you can only pay bills that Evolve already has permitted on its system. As for payment options, VRs are essentially extinct anyhow but is it correct to say that you can add Visa and MC gift cards to both Evolve and BB? What about prepaid debit cards? Also, is the main difference that you can load Evolve on your own whereas with BB you need to go to Walmart to do this? I'd appreciate any clarifying thoughts, thanks all. |

Both act as debit cards. |
I've searched this thread but was not finding a concrete answer, so here I am.
I accidentally submit payment to WF mortgage without waiting enough time between the transaction and now my 2nd payment is flagged as "failed". This is OV (One Vanilla). Do any of you guys know what happens to the failed OV? Will the funds be returned to OV after some hold period? Or, if I need to call anyone, is it Evolve or WF mortgage? Also if I need to call in WF mortgage, can they reverse the payment back to OV so that that OV can be used for other purposes? * I had other OV to make up for the failed payment, so I am hoping to use this "failed OV" funds to load BB or pay other payment. Thank you. |
Did you search everywhere but the wiki?

So, I wanted to know where I fall in the category after "failed transaction (it was tagged as "duplicate"). 1. simply wait until the funds returned to the card OR 2. call bank to release the hold on the fund (?) <- I'd rather use this fund elsewhere now. OR 3. contact Evolve? (but seems like people are just waiting to see the error to automatically drop in a few days.) Much appreciate your input. Thank you. |

Yeah, I read the wiki, but I was still not sure about the "pre-authorization charge would fall off" part since I read in the thread that "fund returned to the VGC card, etc.", "funds locked for extended period of time", "call WF mortgage to release the funds to apply for the payment", etc.

Wait 7 to 10 days and the funds will be released. You can track on the onevanilla.com website.

Say I want to use Evolve to pay my mortgage and 2 car leases.
Mortgage - $1600 Car 1- $387 Car 2- $425 Total- $2412 So I would need to purchase 5 $500 OVs So here's my question...would the payments be fine like this? card 1 - $500 pay to mort card 2- $500 pay to mort card 3- $500 pay to mort card 4- $100 pay to mort card 4- $387 to car 1 card 4- $13 to car 2 card 5- $412 to car 2 Would that work the way I wrote it up? I'm doing MS with BB, but this would be an easy way to go through another $2500 from home a month. Thanks in advance! |
