Today was my 1st attempt at using PP business MC to pay mortgage (have been using GCs) and the payment was blocked, returning the dreaded e723 error code.

Johnny, I've never received 1% from PP for anything.

I used to get 1% cash back on PP debit MC payments. It was great! (while it lasted)

is your cb activated on pp?

People are using Evolve for 1% CB only? That seems like a pretty big waste.

How do you suppose the $ gets on a PP debit card?

Isn't it up to Evolve to process the debit card correctly as, well, a debit card? Otherwise, any and all debit cards would have the same problem since they all are a Visa/MC and can be run as credit as well, no?

The 1% cb is a bonus, I just want to be able to continue using the funds from my PP account.

This makes me wonder about RCA accts. I had considered using Evolve to meet new monthly requirments (can't buy small Amazon GCs anymore) but of course it must be processed as signature based.

I was getting 1% cash back. My DC begins with 5581-58. No longer works.
If others have a PP Bus DC that works, let me know. I will ask Paypal to re issue the card. The 1% was just a bonus, I would still do the $999 payments without the cash back.

well, here is something i wouldn't do...so you go call PP that you need them to issue another card, and next person do the samething and eventually what will happen?? PP is definite shutting down bill pay via Evolve Money.

I suggest let Evelove Money and PP work it out and see what happen.

been paying several months out of 2 accts, yesterday they closed the payee saying i cant pay that payee anymore because you cant pay same payee from 2 accts.

Well, PP already is shut down via Evolve anyway...

so has anyone been able to successfully use GCs after 7/1/14 (the start of the new month)? i tried on 7/1 with one GC and received the error message that i had exceeded my 4 payments and to wait for a new month. umm....

and of course, the GC was temporarily charged for the withdrawal like usual.

dude that's what i got too, may or may not be the same reason i got it for. i paid out of 2 accts to the same payee & they dont like that. so that payee is blocked.

My PP has same first 6 digits. Rep told me any card with them has been blocked. I suspect this is more damage from mr bowtie revealing that cc's work on evolve. I also would be happy to forfeit the 1%cb if it processed as debit, but it's not going to happen.
I don't think reissueing the card will help. How do you know what digits you will get?
