Has anyone used a the OV cards to pay a bill in the past few days since Bancorp ran into trouble with the FDIC?

Yeah, agree with you both. Happy to have the ability to pay others still, but had plans (if Evolve sticks around for the long term) to pay off mortgage with Evolve. Now I have to hope BlueBird sticks around and can at least pay the mortgage that way still.

You don't need to pay the mortgage using Bluebird, it's pointless. You just trade one bill for another. I still don't get the logic of these posts. Obviously you can't use Evolve to pay cc so mortgage is a good bet there.

Before I saw this, I did place a couple of transactions using OV. Will have to wait until Monday to see if they go through

Just made 2 payments with 2 separate OV Visa Debit cards. Both went through with no issues.

That is not how payment processing works. No PIN does not equal credit transaction.

Doesn't it depend on circumstances? When I could easily buy VR, loading BB at home and then paying the mortgage was very easy, and certainly easier than paying evolve is now with the various limits. Not near a Walmart so doing BP there wasn't easy (and anyway would cost more). So why is it pointless?

I read a few pages back where someone was able to submit payments from multple Evolve accounts over the weekend somthey were all credited at te exact same time when the banks opened back up for business Mon/Tues. The payments (which totalled) the amount due credited as a regualr mmonthly payment without incident. That wasnt BoA of course nor is there anyway of knowing if someone didnt manually fix it on the back end either. But tat was the report so take it for what its worth to ya.

Have another issue here, I would like to take advantage of the weekend on 6/28-6/29 to make a combined payment to my BOA mortgage, any chance that it will be treated as July payment (after I call on 6/30 which is the next Monday)? (I already paid June part, and the reason I need to do it this weekend instead a later one in July is that I need to meet certain spending limit by 6/30)

You pay your mortgage and then your left with a credit card bill equal to the mortgage. Bluebird already allows you to pay cc. It's pointless. Plus people have ended up with problems from trying to pay mortgage using other services, checks going to wrong payee account, checks not cashed properly (rent), etc

I think we're all hoping for some competition.

Competition in a business that generally makes no revenue (I have heard of no one paying for their expedited service) with a cost of anywhere up to $.75 per transaction will seem unlikely. I was afraid of seeing a Bernie Madoff moment if theses transactions were not posting.

Chargesmarts, its other "competitor" really sucks and cost a lot

Why on earth would Evolve WANT to "earn" the business of a customer segment that is largely all about trying to get over on every vendor, supplier, and company they deal with? On the whole, MS'ers would happily engage in practices that would put Evolve out business in a month if they thought they could wring an extra frequent-flyer mlle out of the system doing so.

Ha ha....everyone knows its a loss making business to allow people to pay bills with gift cards for free. That is why companies are not eager to jump in to compete.

I put a debit card payment in through my OVC card on friday, but i reached the max amount of transactions. My OVC now has a hold on the $500 - any idea how long until the hold gets released? Do I need to call anyone?
