Seems wiki-worthy, though it's not made it there yet... |
Hi All,
I have Wells Fargo Mortgage. I have setup bi weekly payments via their website. When I talk to them agents are clueless on the actual process I am hoping someone could here could help. So lets assume my bi weekly mortgage with escrow payment is $1400 and due on 9/15. Lets say if I pay $1500 via Evolve using day 1 and day2 process by 9/12 Will it payments combine and apply $1400 towards the 9/15 payment and $100 will be applied to principle? meaning on 9/15 When Well Fargo try to get the payment they will not pull any money as I have already paid? Or do I have to get out of Wells Fargo payment method and use Evolve? appreciate your help |

Also you are aware that Evolve will only allow you to pay the payee only once a month. If you try to do more than one payment for that payee a month, your account can be suspended. |

I am not sure if the Evolve system is smart enough to decide the amount that goes to pay for the mortgage and extra principal. If you want to specify the amounts between extra principal then you should just go through the Wells Fargo website.

The payment automatically combined itself to pay the exact amount due once the Third hit. Any amount that was overpaid subsequently went towards principal. Nice to not have to send in the Exact amount, if you don't mind paying some extra principal. |

This is in the wiki, how is it different than your question?

No it is not..Wiki never mentions bi -weekly payments nor mentions about auto pay. Do you have Wells Fargo mortgage?
1) Max of 1 debit card per month per biller, so the day 1 day 2 thing isn't gonna work for ya. 2) WF is finicky when it comes to auto pay. I decided to disable to avoid the headaches (first month all payments went to principal and auto pay still occurred, had to get it overturned which was a headache). 3) What difference does bi-weekly make to the equation? Just means you have more payments due. |
WF Bi-weekly mortgage payments do not get credited against your loan any sooner than monthly payments. It's their policy. Having bi-weekly payments just means you're giving WF money sooner than you need to. Just pay lump sum. They won't bat an eye. Try to make the payments land on the same day, e.g. 1400 = 999 evolve + 401 some other billpay.

So I checked with an agent and this what I have found out....lets assume your loan payment is 2000 and every month its due on 1st and have grace period until 15th.
So if you make partial payments....lets says following. 09/01 PAYMENT 500 09/02 PAYMENT 500 09/02 PAYMENT 500 09/03 PAYMENT 600 09/15 PAYMENT 2000 09/15 PRINCIPAL PMT 100 So just the payments need to get their by before 15th and need to cancel the auto payments. |
Wow. Evolve does NOT accept more than one payment per biller per month as of 9/1/14. It is not going to happen.

One of the payments made (8/29) was not received by the payee even though Evolve shows the payment was delivered (9/4). The money was also taken out on payment date (8/29). Just opened a case with Evolve and was told to call back in 3 to 5 business days to check progress  Anyone had this happen before? How long did it take to resolve? I've made multiple payments on Evolve and this is the first time the payment was not delivered as promised. Just another reminder NOT to throw away the gc before confirming payment was received by the payee.

Warning
Just an FYI if anyone here is looking to use Evolve to pay anything timely and/or important. Towards the end of last month I used Evolve to pay on my student loans. My loan servicer is "Fedloan Servicing." I chose "Dept. of Education Student Loans -- All Servicers" from Evolve, based on others' experience. I entered my account number, but was never prompted to enter any additional information regarding the recipient.
Meanwhile my lender never receives the payment. After calling Evolve, setting up a support ticket, and waiting "5-7 business days," I called back and was told that the payment was sent to the wrong address, and they are requesting a refund back from recipient. At that point, I can call and have my funds refunded back to me. (Meanwhile I'm told that I must keep calling back for updates, as Evolve will apparently not initiate communication with me). So basically Evolve is holding my money hostage, for bill payments that it failed to deliver, due to no fault of my own. Anyway, YMMV, but just a "heads-up" for everyone else. |

I'm in similar situation myself (see my post above yours). Except, this was not my first payment to this payee, it was my fourth that shows delivered on Evolve's end but not the payee's.
