I had the same problem paying my own electric bill (a different company), although I tried about 3 or 4 times with failed payments. Here's what happened:
- If I made the payment today (and charge today), it would want to charge a $1.50 express fee (which I don't want to pay).
- If I made the payment tomorrow, it would not charge an express fee, but would charge the debit card tomorrow.
- If I made the payment 2 days from today (doing the transaction with Evolve on Wednesday and making the due date Friday), it would charge today (Wednesday) and pay the electric company on Friday.

I haven't seen the transaction go through yet, so I don't want to say this works. I'll probably know on Friday or Monday when the transaction posts to my electric bill account. At the same time, it's showing that it's charging today (including when I check my debit card balance online), so it looks like it will go through.

It seems strange that you need to go out 2 days in order for it to charge today (versus going out one day charging tomorrow). Hope that information helps.

I did the same for my PG&E bill and it worked.

Guess I am lucky, my PP Biz Debit was already on the list of cards, just submitted a $999 transaction (won't take 1000) and it went through. Fingers crossed.

Maybe it pays to be loyal?

Mine was already on the list too and worked again today.

You guys wanna post the first six digits of your card numbers and we can see if there's something to be gleaned?

Are people who are using the PP Biz Debit card getting the 1% cashback with Evolve? If not, what is the point - just to liquidate PP MyCash loads?

Who cares about the 1% cashback for Evolve. The fact is you already get 5% on PP MyCash loads so Evolve is a good way to drain the cards. Also by paying with your PP DC you can effectively pay your mortgage and other bills that exceed $500 since VGCs are limited to $500. But to answer your question...NO you don't earn 1% cashback with Evolve as confirmed from multiple blogs.

Probably part of their new business model, hold your money for a couple of days of interest.

I used a few RL for Evolve WF payments a week ago, everything worked fine. But to top off some payments now, I want to use gift cards. However, I noticed this wording, which has probably been out for a while. What does this mean, exactly?

Gift cards and one time use pre-paid debit cards can only be used for payments charged to your card immediately. If the charge date is not today, the bank that issues the card may decline your payment.
Let's say for a $1300 mortgage, I use 2 RL for $1000. I want to pay the remaining $300 with a VGC. It says it can only be used for payments charged to the card immediately... but Evolve makes us choose a date 2+ days in the future. That's the payment date, how do I know what the charge date is?

Look at the screen when you choose your date. It says what day the card gets charged.

I've read past post where people are getting shut down for using multiple accounts for the same payee.

Are these people getting shut down because they are paying through different multiple accounts on the same day through debit (trying to go around the $999/day)? Wonder if it is ok to same multiple accounts with the same payee throughout the month (not hitting the same payee all at the same day).

No. You can't pay the same account number from two different accounts.
