I disagree - I'd happily pay 2.75% to Square if they let me run thru GC's as much as I wanted.

Hard to say, but it doesn't really matter going forward as you are limited to 1 total payment per month per payee.

Search around a little bit, you'll find it. Hell, it's even listed in this thread and he gave you a hint.

"4 payments/month limit until Aug" -- does it mean the system only allow upto 3 payments/month (before Sep 1)? I got a suspension email on my mortgage account, paid 4 times in aug and one time in sep... the email said "closed due to the volume processed".... any chance to appeal?

Where can you unload massive quantities of GCs at 2.3%?? I don't believe there is anything out there that scales to the levels some of us want to churn.

Why did you wait until the last 2 days of Aug to issue 4 payments and then another payment on Sep 1st? Sounds like too much too fast IMO. You loaded $2.5K in just 3 days.

I have a big mortgage > $2.5K, I would hope to get the payments delivered in roughly at the same time so that I could call to get them all combined and applied to the monthly payment. Plus, my local walmart has just shut off taking VGCs completely, right after I fully loaded 5k from CVS :( Guess this mortgage biller is completely blocked ? Can't even try from my husband' account next month?
I guess one thing I want to ask you is whether you can still pay other payees with your existing account? |
Evolve Money
They block you by payee account number.

Seems like that prediction is turning out to be true. It's nice to still be able to do one payment fee-free, but it's far from how Evolve originally started. And I wouldn't be surprised if more negative changes will be coming in the future, since the new limit just stops the bleeding at Evolve, but doesn't solve the problem of how Evolve will make money. |

AGCs at zero is going to be high next qtr. I'm expecting sub-0 if things just run their course barring changes.

hmm..
i submitted two transactions for 200 each to the same biller just now for payment the 4th. they took money from both of my debit accounts. we'll see if the transactions go through. maybe they are behind on implementation. |
Evolve officially sux
I made 2 payments on sep 2, completely unintentionally..i forgot about their new policy. The system let me pay without any warnings..next day I get an email saying my biller account has been closed due to exceeding the limit. Called them, they dont budge. They make customers pay for the shortcomings of their website. They allowed my payments to go through instead of denying the 2nd payment and then closed the account. Completely unprofessional in my opinion. screw evolve |
