I just wanted to add another data point about getting shut out of evolve... On a single day, I made two payments to a biller from my evolve account and also another two payments to the same biller from my wife's evolve account. The payments went through, but I got an email immediately the next day saying that my biller's account has now been blocked from evolve. I called evolve, and they explained that the biller account was blocked due to being paid from multiple evolve accounts in the same day. I had known about the 4x per month limit, but had missed the more recent reports of payments through multiple evolve accounts to the same biller being an issue. Evolve would not budge at all and would not reconsider their decision to close this account.

Actually the multiple accounts to the same biller has been known as a risk well before they implemented the 4x payments per month policy. Many people were able to do it for a long time but many people were shut down quickly as well.

Yep, and I fell victim too but got my restrictions lifted with a bit of pleading.

Now that evolve has made the PayPal Business Debit cards ineligible for use, are there any other debit cards out there that work and receive some sort of cashback (e.g. 1% on all transactions)? My main use for evolve was to get 1% back on my mortgage when using the card. thanks

How are people paying >$1k mortgages now if multiple accounts to same biller is blocked? Since doing it on separate days will likely cause it go to Principal..

I make a payment on Fri, Sat, Sun, and they all post Mon. Someone else mentioned it earlier in the thread.

Citibank has online chat which I use just to ask them to reallocate my funds. I believe if you set your payments within 1 or 2 days, they would not have an issue with it.

Anyways, has anyone been able to find an alternative to the Paypal Business debit card which earns cashback on all transactions and can be used on evolve? Thanks!

Ok thanks, searched some pages back and seems Wells will hold it for any payments after the 1st.

There should datapoints posted on the Wiki for how each lender reacts to these multiple payments..

I added a mortgages section to the wiki. Hopefully no one erases and adds their own data points.

If you have access to MP's, look into a card that rhymes with dime to make big Evolve payments (hopefully they won't block this feature next month if it's abused)

Good luck with this. I got suspended the first time I did it since the June 1st crackdown - and had to agree to only do one payer for even a mortgage with two people on it from here on out.

I attempted to make an Evolve Bill Pay to my student loan company with a Simon Gift Card which wasn't successful on 7/2/14 which resulted in an authorization hold being placed on the gift card for the total amount. Does anyone have any experience as to how long this will last? and what I should do other than wait?

If only there was a wiki on this thread with information like this.

Let me preface by saying I haven't used Evolve. But I thought they were very upfront about using gift cards as being ok, if it happened to me I would be on the phone with Evolve immediately.
