I agree. If it took it under a "debit" setting the CA risk is high. No mention in the post of a $0 CA limit on the card and no indication from his statement that it showed up as a purchase.

Well that is a huge development, I'm sure it will only last a day given the MMS readership and the amount of questions/transactions that will be flowing Evolve's way.

Trying to pay my auto loan with a Chase United Explorer and getting "Not a Debit Card."

heyeaglefn May 15, 2014 3:08 pm

Someone already posted in this thread about being able to do this and it went through as a CA.

Not going to complain though. :)

Paid another $200 today, will see how it goes on Friday.

The $400 payment disappeared off my Great Lakes page...hopefully it's just a correction to $200 and not a rejection back to the debit card.

Now that credit cards are allowed, I suspect this will go downhill.

In the meantime, has anybody tried using AMEX gift cards to pay Evolve? They are typically treated as credit cards.

There have always been Credit Cards that could get entered, but they have always posted as Cash Advance. That may or may not be different.

I don't think Amex Gift Cards work.

You are correct. Just tried, it and it didn't take.

Bank?

I did the same thing for WF and it worked fine.

I made three payments over weekends for WF the last two months w/ no problems using VGC's. Also payed two school loans and all utilities without a hitch.

Gonna be a rough day for a lot of peeps who are trying to push through CC charges as debit on Evolve.

I cannot help but laugh at some of these comments. I feel so terrible!

It says on their website (under “flexible”) they accept VISA and MasterCard.
I guess he doesn't realize that debits come in V or MC.
